Clarion Hotel La Crosse is located three miles from the state fairgrounds and five miles from downtown Texarkana. Within five miles of the hotel are Perot Theater, Photographers Island, Central Mall, Ace of Clubs House, Discovery Center, Texarkana Regional Museum, Spring Lake Park, Texarkana Golf Ranch, and South Haven Golf Course. This place is a dump

I am only staying here because my company is paying for the room . It is out dated , the internet hardly works , overpriced for what you get no bathroom fans some rooms have black mold in the showers the bathroom floors are wet all the time , the hand rail out side the walk door is almost coming off do not trust it .

Cheap Owner no A/C

The owner refused to allow his staff to utilize the A/C and the indoor pool area was above 90 degrees and as a result my mother in law was unable to watch her grandchildren play and swim due to a medical condition which prohibits her from being in extremely hot or cold temperatures. They came in from out of town specifically to spend time with the grandkids and was not able to do so. The whole hotel was extremely hot due to no a/c. VERY DISSATISFIED!!!!

Great Service, comfortable beds, dated furniture.

The front desk provided excellent service. We stayed in the apartment suite, the room was clean but dated. Beds and pillows were comfortable. I would stay again.

Uh Oh, not the Remington anymore

Well, I started staying here as the Holiday Inn Fun Dome back in 2005. It was sold to World Hotels in 2008 and was renamed the Remington hotel. (Sound familiar?) Well, Remington Hotels based in Dallas, TX thought so too and sued recently so the hotel is now called the La Crosse Hotel. However, same friendly staff, upgraded rooms with new HD flat panel tvs mounted on the wall (without the HD) and same fun family with kids atmosphere. A deal going on right now for free golf at a local course. Haven't played it yet so can't comment on the course. I also have a very strong wireless internet connection in my room...and two elevators to choose from.

Never again!

When this hotel was under Holiday Inn management it was excellent, and we stayed there about 8 times a year. Then the Remington people took over and everything went downhill while the prices went up. We paid over 110 dollars a night for two nights for an ordinary room that could only be reached by climbing a flight of stairs. The front desk people (and two managers) knew very little about what was available, in fact, they even lied to us and were surly as well. We tried one more time and things did not improve. We won't be going back.

The room i had was fabulous. I enjoyed the sliding glass doors that opened to a balcony, The food from cajun harbor was good. Room service and staff were realy nice. I'll be back. very satisfide customer

Great Pet Hotel

We liked the pet friendly and large rooms. We also thought the staff was great and assisted me with stay. We came to town for a funeral and plan to stay here next time too. Steve Bishop, Phoenix AZ

Just Fine!

I have stayed at this hotel twice within the past 3 months. the first stay- the room was right by the pool, as I had requested- however the furniture and hallway was in need of updating. The second time I stayed there we were close to the pool on the other side. The hallways seemed to have been renovated and it was much nicer. the staff were very nice. My grandchild loves the pool. The hot tub is just great. Do NOT go into the arcade-- most of the machines do not work--just take you money.Will stay there again.It is not a Westin but agood mid priced Holiday Inn

NEVER GO BACK

we reserved the room weeeks in advance because it was our anversiary,we booked it online .we booked a king size bed was given a double.had to go back down to desk for them to fix the door keys so they would work. There was no internet service avabile, then we wanted to take a bath the tub did not have a stopper that would work,we tried to set out on the balconly and the smell of chorline or bleach was so strong i got a head ache and was sick. They attempted to move us to another room that tub also did not work, around 730 pm they did find a room that the tub did work ,we had to pack things up ourselves and move to that room ,we went to eat at cajon harbor seafood and steak,no lobster,no crabs, no oysters what kind of sea food place does not have them on a wendsday night.there was no free hbo as they stated,in the game room half the games did not work.we paid over $80.00 dollars and we could have been treated better at a much cheaper place.

Great Stay

I liked the indoor pool. I liked room service. I hated having to leave. The service was second to none. I got a room that had a sliding glass door that opened to the pool area, great access.
