Viscount Suite Hotel, Tucson

After reading reviews but the place is nicely remodeled, the staff is great, and the location perfect. The two room suites are big enough for family travelers..

We stayed at the Viscount Hotel in December 2007 and enjoyed our visit. The location was perfect and as a visitor felt very safe. I liked that entry to rooms were only obtained from the inside and the key to the room accessed the elevetors. Checking in was quick and simple. The Suite was clean and spacious. Having a refrigerator in the room at no extra cost (Hilton charges $5.00 a day) was a nice perk. The Continental Breakfast with many selections to choose from was fantastic! Location, Cleanliness, and Value were 5/5. Service has to be 4/5. There are two phones in the room. One in the living room and the other in the bedroom. The phone in the bedroom was not working properly. I called twice and left a note by the phone but the problem was never fixed. Although I had a cellphone to use, this little detail should have been handled more appropriately. Despite this, I highly recommend Viscount to any traveler. Great price, Excellent Hotel!

My sheet was torn and never changed in a week; blanket coming apart; pillows terrible; many useful things missing from room - telephone books, note pad, coffee/tea things not replaced; room not cleaned one day; lighting very dim; electrical outlets which don't work. (I think that's enough!)

The staff didn't have time to talk to customers and really didn't care about your experience at the hotel. The furniture was old and the bed was lumpy. The bathroom floor tile was filthy and there was no tub stopper in the tub, only a hole! The hotel is booking group events that are so loud that you cannot sit in your room and hear the TV. Staff's answer to the problem - can you hear it in the bedroom with the door closed? I rented a suite, which I should be able to watch TV without hearing a church group trying to save me on a Saturday night. Save your money - don't go!

I stayed at this hotel in 1989 and again last month; it had not changed at all. Everything was outdated, from furnishings in public areas to the guest suites. Just awful. My company talked me into trying a city location but never at this hotel again.
