Dissapointed
By ,
The staff has no idea what is going on at the hotel, the cleaning crew bring their entire family to the hotel , kids run all over the place, use the pool( by the way there's 5 kids) young teenagers walked off the street and just hoped in to use the pool, here i am trying to RELAX- and spent most of my stay policeing the place! lots of riff-raff,pool area always full of trash, paper cups, bottles, food left behind, etc. it wouldnt be so bad if the staff would just pay attension to there hotel.

MAGIC IN SEDONA
By ,
We were in SEDONA from 5/17/2008 to 5/21/2008.We couldn't have picked a better place to stay.Wonderful location, great rooms, and wonderful beds. The pleasure and magic of Sedona was made even better by the hotel. I would recommend this place to anyone who ask me. The breakfast was great and our Trailhead room was fantastic. We loved it so much, that we are planning our next trip right away. Of all the places we have traveled,I LOVE SEDONA THE BEST, and we have traveled all over the world in our lives. The Kings Ransom may not be the best place in Sedona,But it was for us.The resturant was great also Joe & Barbara Audino

Nice Place
By ,
We were very busy and only slept there. I thought it was reasonably priced. It is set up a little strange, but it functioned for us nicely. Very very comfortable beds!

A Gem of a motel in Sedona !
By ,
Wow. Just got back from Kings Ransom in Sedona. Stayed 4 nights beginning August 19, 2006. We had a newly remodeled room on the second floor (rm. 222) overlooking the gorgeous pool and hot tub area with stunning red rock views beyond. Our room was spacious, had a brand new stainless steel mini fridge (big by motel standards)and a really great patio with table and chairs (not the plastic, cheap kind, either). We watched the hummingbirds in the mornings as they flitted from one flowering tree to the next. This motel is on the main road but you don't know it! It is set back a little. There was no traffic/noise or anything. And it is at a great spot for visitors - close to uptown Sedona (1/2 mile?), next to Hillside (restaurants/art galleries), down the street from Tilaquepaque (Spanish "town" with more restaurants/art galleries). We only paid $84.00 for the weeknights. The restaurant is closed right now and the fire pit by the pool is not working, according to the front desk. I have read about these in some reviews, so I thought I would update readers. Pets are allowed but we requested a "pet-free" room. I would recommend this motel. Check out the pictures on the internet. They do not lie. Oh yeah, pillows and mattresses were very good quality.

Best Kept Secret in Sedona!
By ,
I guess most travelers, and travel websites, don't know this hotel has been completely renovated! We stayed there in early July and were amazed at the value. The location has always been great with wonderful red rock views. But since the last time we visited this hotel ( a few years ago), it has been transformed! They are introducing the new hotel with rock bottom rates, they have added a fitness room, have hiking right behind the hotel, and they told us a new restaurant would be opening in September. We'll be back!

Decent hotel, but a little worn
By ,
The hotel was fairly nice. Jessi at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty nice overall. Two concerns: 1) The interior latch to secure the door while inside the room was broken--the swinging loop on the door frame was there, but the hook on the door itself was missing--it looked like the door had been forced open and the hook torn off. Not a comforting feeling, especially for a first floor room with a hidden entrance (back side of the hotel--not visible from the street or the front desk). 2) Housekeeping didn't vacuum the floor when cleaning--I called and the supervisor came within 3 minutes and took care of it. Bad housekeeping, but great service to fix it.

Would definitely stay again in newer rooms
By ,
If staying here ask for one of the newer rooms. We stayed in the new room one night and on our way back through we got stuck with one of the older rooms.New room up to date, warm and comfortable. Older room alittle musty and cold.Overall, it was a better good value.

we'll go back
By ,
Location to town was perfect, and when we wanted to hang out at pool, and stay at the hotel for the evening we ate at the dining room. Food was tremendous. We'll worth the price of admission.
