Terrible tiny bathroom with aged broken cabinet
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/09
TERRIBLE. The room was small, the bathroom was tiny. The small sized bathtub was clogged. You have to be a contortionist to get to the toilet paper. The toilet had to be flushed twice (fingers crossed). The faux cabinetry in the bathroom was worn and broken – like some aged roadside economy motel. It’s right next to US 60 so you even get the freeway noise. The single small desk table was far too small for a room service meal. When we arrived there wasn’t a bell hop in sight – nor any luggage carts. We had to lug our entire luggage by hand through the hotel. The staff was snooty. When I booked the $130 room online it showed that the breakfast buffet was included. But, the front desk said it wasn’t. What a sucker punch! To top things off the alarm system went off at 5:00 AM and we had to listen to a litany of barely audible PA messages from the hotel staff. Guests were shuffling around in confusion. I’d rate the entire experience with that of any $39 per night low-end freeway motel. Hilton, shmilton! Beware of the internet booking lie about the buffet!

Nice but noisy
By BarryW, 5/7/07
This hotel has the typical open air indoor design of the Hilton chain, and large, well-appointed rooms. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the hotel wasn't really pricey. The only problem was noise. Kind of surprising for an upscale hotel, but the freeway noise was significant in our room, and in the wee a.m. hours we were treated to the sound of the people in the room next door "enjoying" each other for two hours. Sound-proof this hotel isn't!

Horrible Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/24/05
The rudest staff I have ever met in my life at any hotel. For the $149.00 I paid, I would have got much better value for my money at a Best Western !

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/05
The service is excellent. The rooms are great. They have a excellent restaurant. There VIP room has excellent snacks in the evening and a excellent selection of fruit and cereal, muffins, etc, in the morning. If you want great service and a nice place to stay this is the place to go.

Worst Hilton EVER!
By TimothyW, 8/3/05
Middle of July in Phoenix, temperature 111F--no A/C in common areas, convention areas and even some rooms. Room was not ready when promised. Staff was brusque and unhelpful. Every time I asked for something from Hotel staff the answer was "NO," no attempt was made to accommidate or even consider my request. Early check-in, NO. Help with storing my luggage, no one around. Late check-out, NO. I even appraised the hotel of safety concerns (motorcycle blocking fire exit) as they seem unconcerned, it remained there for a day and a half. I know some things are beyond their control, but what is telling is how they handled the problems. Rather than doing everything they could to help, they made it worse by not caring. Not once during a four-day stay with no air conditioning in July with temperatures well in excess of 100 degrees, did any member of the staff apologize!!! Incredible. All this and the hotel was also undergoing renovations so work crews were constantly going in and out of the hotel. If the convention I attended is held here again next year, I will simply not go. My worst hotel experience ever.

OSUSU Convocation 2005
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/7/05
Everything was most enjoyable and excellent in service and disposition. The employees are quite congenial. From the moment we arrived the desk personnel greeted us and made us feel welcome. The conference staff, the food staff and the concierge staff left nothing to be desired I rate this hotel and staff as EXCELLENT.
