Do not expect comfortable rooms in the fall.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/09
Do not expect a comfortable room in the fall or spring‎ - ‎ - Today I went to bed a little early nice and comfortable and I woke up to a stuffy hot room, asked for assistance from the front desk and was told that they turned off the ac due to changing weather. So as I lie awake here at 11 and knowing I have to get up early I am spending the worst night of my life in a hotel far from home. I asked for another room and was given one but there is no change in the temperature and was told to try opening a window to cool off. I have to stay here for a couple more days because of travel arangements. I will NOT stay here again and will advise our travel department as to what happened so that others will not have the same experience.

overall good experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/09
We stayed at the hotel for a 1 week vacation to get away from the cold. The hotel is located right outside the airport. You can 'see' the check-in terminal. The 2-room setup was nice, especially with having 2 young kids. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom small. There is quite a bit of airplane traffic, especially when the take off path is directly overhead of the hotel. The good thing is that the fighter jets don't take off untill after 8am. Breakfast is above average with omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, and the usual continental style items. The coffee is terrific and the bread is thickly sliced. The staff is pleasantly friendly. You can tell it's a well kept older hotel. We experienced 3 rooms since the first one had a collapsing corner in the ceiling, the second one a view of the vending machine, the third had a loose/broken handle on a sliding door but we figured it was the least important to us. We got stuck in a broken elevator one evening. The pool is wonderful and the hottub super warm. The courtyard is nicely landscaped with palms, flowers, pine trees and cacti. Overall a good experience for a decent price.

Best Hotel near the Tucson Airport
By Christina, 12/21/08
I had been staying in Marana for a month when I needed to catch an early flight I wanted to stay at a hotel near the Tucson Airport. I had time to check all the hotels by the airport. I looked at all hotel rooms restaruants everything. (I'm picky). The Radisson use to be an Embassy so they offer the managers evening reception free drinks which is great help when you need to relax before a long flight. The other hotel don't offer free drinks This is the only Radisson that does in Tucson. The room was cozy and clean very comforting. The garden and courtyard is kept beauitfully. the hot tub is great. Free hot breakfast. Great omelets. Overall the staff were great. All smiles and polite conversation. I was asked four times how my room was or just how I was doing. You can tell they really cared what you thought of their hotel.

Wont stay there again
By rabbit, 05/28/08
The price was good, internet price of 89.00per night but I did not get what was advertised. I read on their website that they have the sleep number bed which we have at home so I knew I would get a good night sleep. Well after we unpacked and went to bed the first night we realized it was not a sleep number bed and was told the next morning that only 10% of the hotel has those beds. They offered to move us but I would of course have to pack everything all over again and it was not worth the trouble. The mattress was average. Also the rooms don’t look as nice as the pictures display and could use some updating. We can hear the cars driving on the main street. Another disappointment is that the manager’s reception that is advertised is simply Happy Hour with just drinks. There are no appetizers or food at all, I was told by the front desk that they did away with the appetizers 2 months ago. Oh and you only get free internet for 24hours and they charge $3 for each page to fax. (rip off)

My hotel of choice for Tucson
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/14/05
For travellers the location near the airport is wonderful and for those hoping to get a good night's sleep the airport noise is negligable. I only heard two aircraft go overhead the entire week I was staying there. The staff is superb, the rooms are spotless, and the value is great, especially when you add in the manager's reception for two hours every night which not only includes alcohol, but munchies as well. The beds were a little hard but the pillows were big and fluffy. It had a great pool, with nice sitting areas near the multiple fountains. And the breakfast wasn't your typical bagels and donuts, everything from pancakes to bacon with omlettes and eggs cooked to order. The best experience I've had with a hotel so far.
