The Valley Hotel, Palmer

Clean, orderly, and the staff was very friendly. They had great food down in the cafe, and serve pizzas, too! The variety was excellent, and they had great artwork that really set the mood. I was surprised at how busy they were--even locals frequented this place! Still, it was quiet at night, despite the bar down below. I left a hefty tip, because the service I received was well worth it.

The room was small just how I like it. The food is great,but very expensive. There seems to be one maid,not good. Winter time the rooms are freezing. NOt good for buiness. I hated how cold it was. BRRR... Bedding is very cozy Found no bugs or mouse,which is great! The Bathroom was of my likeing,very clean. I am going to stay there on my birthday (The clerk at the desk is a extremely RUDE.)

Older hotel showing age. Rooms basic & clean. Beds good. Bathrooms small but adequate. Attrached cafe open 24 hrs-excellent. Fresh pastries. Unfortunately the front desk clerk was unattentive & rude.

This is a 3 floor hotel in the middle of Palmer Alaska...... the rooms are small but comfortable.In the summer they can be quite stuffy with NO air conditioning! The beds range from Confortable to extremely hard! the food is good(but can vary from who is cooking) but a little on the expensive side, it is a Great Place to visit and make friends,Most of the Staff is very friendly! :)

I use to live in Palmer and in doing so I worked in the restraunt as a prep cook and then on grave yard as a cook. While working there I also lived there. It was very affordable and always had very pleasent people coming through that I enjoyed conversations with. Everyone I worked with was very nice and make the comfort of all the guests their first priority. It has been some time since then. That was back in 1984. But I do make a trip to the Palmer and Wasilla area every year and I always go into the hotel restraunt just to visit and bring back the great memories of my life in Palmer and my freinds at the hotel. Although many years have passed and people have come and gone, the hotel is still a very pleasent and warm place to stay during your visit to Alaska. So I recommened that no matter where you plan to travel you should stop on in for a bite and a visit. Who knows you may meet someone who can give you a load of history on the area. Which I always found very intersting to listen to. The hotel is located in a great area that is close to other buisness that are in walking distance and close to a park which is one of my old favorites to visit. Thank You RJG

I liked the bed. I didn't like how small it was, but I didn't mind at all. It was during the hottest time of the summer, so it was stuffy. I am sure it is great in cooler times of the year. It is good if you want to just get away to someplace real affordable.
