The Shelikof Lodge, Kodiak

clean ,great staff simple decent hotel ,with restraurant and bar ,good family value

It's a basic place but it was clean. That is most important to me. The staff were friendly. My room was clean and maintained that way every day. I stayed there for a week. It's very close to all things in town and to the docks. 5 minute walk to museums. Bartenders are friendly, waitress was friendly and the food was decent. Nothing I didn't like about the Shelikof, I would stay there again. Tim K.

We had reservations for 4 nights. After 2 nights we packed up and went to the Kodiak Inn, a little more expensive, but well worth it. The room we were in was very dirty. My roommate had a C-PAP. We have to move the bed to get to the wall plug. It was filthy. I wouldn't go barefoot, the carpet was dirty and sticky. When I looked at my socks, they too were filthy. We had stayed there 5 years ago and although the lodge isn't fancy, it was fine. Definitely gone downhill in the last 5 years.

I STAYED AT THE SHELIKOF LODGE IN AUGUST OF 2006, I WAS A LITTLE LEARY BEFORE I ARRIVED BUT ONCE THERE I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.. THE ROOMS ARE NOTHING FANCY BUT THEY ARE CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. THE ONSITE RESTAURANT WAS GREAT FOR BREAKFAST, SERVICE WAS GOOD. THE LODGE OFFERS COMPLIMENTARY SHUTTLE SERVICE TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT. I AM RETURNING THIS AUGUST FOR MORE OF THE GREAT FISHING WITH SOME BUDDIES AND I HAVE ALREADY BOOKED 4 NIGHTS AT THE SHELIKOF. FOR THE MONEY YOU CANT DO BETTER IN KODIAK.
