Breeze Inn Motel, Seward

My wife and I have stayed here several times and are agian in a few weeks....We have stayed in the off season as well as the busy season....The rooms have always been clean and the staff very kind...We like it as it is close to the docks to fish and to several places to eat and enjoy a drink

Not a bad place, but could use some improvements. Wife and I stayed 3 nights. Had to change rooms after the second night. Not our choice- that is the way the motel had to set up our stay. We had booked thru a friend of ours about 9 months in advance. He used his credit card to pay our reservation. Somehow the reservation got messed up. The receipt from our friend showed the exact dates he had reserved, but the motel only had us down for 2 night (but the receipt showed the amount consistant with THREE night stay- GO FIGURE!) We had to be out of our old room by 10AM & could not check into new room until 4PM. Those times made it difficult to manage- we had a fishing trip leaving that morning at 5:30AM. The motel office did not open until 6AM. Overall, except for the booking error & having pack up early & store our stuff in our vehicle until we got back, the stay was OK. Just like everything else in Alaska- you pay more during the summer season. Would stay here again IF I received a written confirmation from the motel itself.

INN or Motel??? It seemed clean at first. Had to take a smoking room, that was all that was left (I smoke but never inside). Thought the ashtray had left over ashes, but it turns out it was little black flying bugs. Their remains were everywhere. Nice burn holes in the comforters. Overpriced giftshop that had run out of the "free mugs". At least the TV worked.

I was surprised to see some previous reviews that said the hotel was clean. Must be a different hotel then. There is lot of construction going on in the hotel (06/2007) and it was full of dusts. In summer, the heater wont stop heating the room. Lot of noise from the adjacent road. Dont be fooled by their jazzy website, which happens to have quality-enhanced images of their deluxe rooms, their standard rooms are just horrible. Location was good (for that matter Seward is so small a town and so scenic, any location in Seward will be good).

A little old, but clean, very helpful staff, nice resteraunt and gift shop, right across from Ray's. Each room is given a free Alaska mug. The room was very big and quiet.
