Looking forward to a return visit!
By Michael Shook, 6/18/12
We stayed at Sunny Days 5A and it was awesome! Great decor, great location to the beach, great amenities at Gulf Shores Plantation. This condo was perfect for our family and it would be great for two families to share. The condo was immaculately clean, too. It was a terrific spring break get-away.

Great stay in Sunny Days Beach Cottage
By R Hall, 5/11/12
We stayed here with our teenaged children over Spring Break 2012 and enjoyed it. We were in the Sunny Days Beach Cottage 5A. Very clean and modern furnishings in the bedrooms and the living and dining rooms. Two pools and one hot tub were right outside the cottage; the beach is right there as well. Great views of the property and beach from the two porches that come off the front of the cottage. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, and refridgerator made it very easy to spend the whole week there. We found it was a convenient and easy drive to Gulf Shores or Foley for more restaurants, shops and nightlife. Kids really liked heading to the movies and the outlet mall. Golf at Kiva Dunes and Peninsula were very close by. Looking forward to coming back and bringing some friends and family along -- three bedrooms and the sofabed would be enough for up to 10 people.

tips for a good time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/08
GSP is particularly great for families and those who want to settle in and stay out of the car. Excellent for long walks wthout traffic and golf choices abound nearby. Beaches and pools are excellent. Get supplies in town before heading in. Dining is available at Kiva Dunes, Tacky Jack's, and the Beach Club next door. Small grocery and hardware store nearby. Get a unit you like (check online to see virtual tours) and relax. Self-catering folks would particularly appreciate this locale.

We could have had a good story to tell.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/25/08
Our family stayed here in unit 3127 on Friday June 20- Tuesday June 24. This room was supposedly a preferred room. I guess it was due to the flat screen televisions in this unit. The flat screen televisions were nice but the one in the living room did not have a clear picture on it at all due to the static lines running through the screen. You should have seen the television when the blow drier was turned on. The balcony was nice, except the screen door on the sliding glass door was not on it and one of the children ran into the glass door two times very hard. The door handle on the sliding glass door had a screw that was loose and the handle come flying off it. On Monday we had a problem where we needed to get to the airport and nobody would help us with a ride. Our vehicle keys came up missing and our other vehicle was at the airport and nobody would give us a lift from the plantation to the airport. (Shuttle service would have been nice) We would have paid for it! We spent the rest of the afternoon trying to figure out how we could get to the airport and were we could go to get a key made. While all this was going on, the cable or satellite was out. The kids were bored and upset because they were on vacation and could not watch TV. The staff in the office was not friendly or informative about helping us get to the airport or helping find a local lock smith. All of this occurred at around 7:00 PM. It really cuts into your relaxing time at the beach when you are worrying about how to get 20 miles to your vehicle and how to get a key made for the other vehicle. What makes a place excellent is how they respond to an unusual situation. We had an unusual situation. Instead of doing something to help us out, we were left on our own to figure it out. We could have had a great story about how the folks at the Gulf Shores Plantation helped us figure out a solution to our problem, but unfortunately we do not have that story to tell. We called the front desk to find out if anywhere delivered. The person who spoke with us thought there might be, but she was not sure of the number or the name of the place. She did however point out that Connections would be open to 10:00 PM. The good things about the office was check inn was fast and when you check out, all you have to do is call a number and leave keys on the table. The resort also offered one movie at a time for free. You could play tennis and use their racquets, just as long as you give them back I guess. We had a terrible time booking this room. We were told we had a room and that room ended up already being booked. Our reservation conformation came in the mail and they had us booked a second time in a different room and it would have been fine but the dates were wrong. I had to call and have the new reservation sent two times because we never received the second one. Due to them booking the wrong dates the price was wrong and it ended up costing more then what we had planned on.

Vacationers beware
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/23/08
We had a terrible experience at this place. The sofa bed as so old and worn out that we could not sleep on it. None of the doors would close and screen door fell off. When we contacted the front desk, they told us we could check out if we paid $287 dollars for the night we stayed in which 4 people tried to sleep in a full size bed. It was a nightmare

Great Family Vacatoin
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/08
We just got back from Gulf Shore Plantation. It was the best family vacation we ever took. Very clean accomodations. There is so much to do, so relaxing and beautiful scenary. We are planning to go back again and a again. This time we will stay longer so we can experience more the Gulf has to offer. If you go, check out Taky Jake's resturant casual dining for the family, but get there early or you will have a long wait, good food. It's about an 8 min drive down 180.

Love it!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/30/08
I have been going to Gulf Shores for 10 years now! After staying at the Plantation, I never want to stay anywhere else. The people were wonderful and it was a great place to take a family. My favorite was crab hunting at night! It was amazing to see so many people on the beach running around with flash lights. The private beach is wonderful and I love how the resort is not in the middle of all the attraction! I plan on going many year to come!!

A great vacation!
By mrsportsmedicine, 9/15/07
We visit the Plantation yearly after our first visit 3 yrs ago. I great atmosphere, and a great scenario. A private entrance, a private beach, as well as a beachside condo with a beachside view balcony that is less than a 5 minute walk down the boardwalk. Service is great, as well as being courteous and helpful! We'll be there again next year.
