Never stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/07
They do not know anything about customer serive. Everyone that I met was very rude and could not be bothered by me at all. No one wanted to assist me with my needs. I will not stay here again and I highly recommend you not wasting your time nor your money. Go somewhere else!!

OK Hotel; staff couldn't be bothered.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/07
Our family stayed here recently, and although the hotel is nicer than most we have stayed at, for the price we expected much better service. At check-in (2:00pm) we were told that our room was not ready and that it wouldn't be ready until after 3:00. We waited in the lobby, expecting to be told at any time that our room was ready. After waiting an hour we went back to the front desk and a different clerk told us that our room was ready. When asked we we had not been informed the young lady did not have any idea that we had been waiting. The next morning at check out when I asked the young man who we had first spoken with the day before why he had not told use our room was ready he rolled his eyes and walked off. This is unacceptable. We won't be staying at this hotel again. They obviously don't care about their guests.

good concierge lounge
By tommyn, 10/15/06
there were no real problems with the room. the carpet, bed, desk, and bathroom was clean...didn't feel sticky or dirty. the only thing i didn't really like was the fact that my tv did not "swivel" so it was hard to watch tv while doing work on the desk. there was no wireless internet, to get internet you have to plug in the cable and pay 9.99 for 24 hour access. concierge lounge staff is very friendly and helpful...they would try to talk to you and see how you're doing...very very nice people...they also had pretty good concierge lounge snacks...along with magazines, drinks, desserts, breakfast, etc.

The best night of our life!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/21/06
My husband and I spent our wedding night at the Marriott in Mobile, Alabama because it was close to the interstate and we could get a quick start to our honeymoon the next morning. I was so pleased with everything. The staff was very courteous and helpful, the rooms and lobby area were immaculate, and the linens on the bed were so comfortable I am buying them from their website. The food downstairs is delicious and service is also excellent in the resturant. The staff did everything in thier power to make our stay one that we will never forget. We can't wait to go back!

Never again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/06
When we first pulled up, it appeared to be a nice hotel, but I was a little leary due to the reviews I had read. We checked in fairly late (about 9:30pm) and got a room on the 20th floor. The beds were very hard and not at all what I would expect from a Marriott. The only thing that reminded me that it was a Marriott was the pillows. The air conditioner never did cool the room, at all. I did get room service the next morning, after an uncormfortable night with only about 4 hours of sleep, and everything was fine there. The order was correct and the wait staff was friendly. One of the elevators was out of service and the one that was working was very warm inside (not sure if it had air or not). We were supposed to stay another night, but checked out at 11am and went to another hotel. Also there was no free in-room internet service. Other cheaper hotels in the area offer this as a free service along with complimentary continental breakfast. I would not stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to others.

Keep looking
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/06
The kitchen staff seems to have a big problem getting the room service order together. During my stays they consistently left off small items that were included with the meals. Finally, they left out half of the entree. I ordered Salmon and Shrimp but received no shrimp. None of my calls to the kitchen manager were answered. They tried to correct the issue by issuing a five dollar refund. The entree was listed as $25, if you get half of the entree you should get half off the listed price. The last gift I received was a bill for a no show stay that was never booked. All my travel is booked through a company travel agent, we have no records for this reservation and besides, I wasn't traveling to Mobile that week. This too was resolved after too much work on my part. This is an old run down hotel that hasn't changed in twenty years. They should be charging prices from the 80's.

We wont go back!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/11/06
First off, when we got to the front desk to check in, J.W and Amanda asked us to hold on a minute while they finished their conversation about orange juice. They were very rude. When we got to the room, we had no hot water for hours so we were unable to take showers before we got in bed. On the second night, we discovered an earwig in one of the beds and yellow stains all over the sheets. Luckily we had two beds and slept in the cleaner one. Housekeeping was great. They made sure we had clean towels but the bathroom wasn't very clean. The hotel we stayed in a few days before, $100 cheaper a night, was way nicer and cleaner than the mobile marriott. Poor customer service. We knew it wasnt going to be a pleasant 3 nights as soon as we saw the attitudes of the associates at the front desk, but because we were there for business, we had to stay. I dont recommend this hotel at all. Go down the street to a cheaper hotel and get better service!! You can save hundreds!!

The best service ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/05
Our stay there was one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. Everyone on the staff was more than helpfull. They went out of there way to assist our every request. The highlight of the stay was the Executive Chef, Chef Gorman. His attention to detail was amazing. He prepared a special request for our daughter. After the meal she was so gratefull she had her picture taken with him and he allowed her to watch him construct an Ice sculpture. This is a special event she will not soon forget. This Chef and all the staff were beyond any expectations. Many thanks for the stay. Anyone will love this hotel, they make you feel special and not just another patron.
