Quality Inn and Suites Atlantic City Marina District, Absecon

Upon reading the other reviews in trip advisor. I thought I'd give this motel a chance. Stayed 5 nights July 08. There were a few pro's and cons. Pros- is that the motel is located 5-7 miles away from Atlantic City. If you like peace and quiet after a long day in Atlantic City, this is the place to unwind. Cons-I booked one room king size bed. At first, when my husband opened the door. The room looked very nice until i entered it. After a closer look i notice the rug looks as though it has not been cleaned in several years. Bed spread had cigarette holes in it. As i requested a non smoking room. Pool is very small, continental breakfast was the worst ever. People standing around like voltures never eating a bagle or waffle before. The staff was friendly and helpful. One thing to keep in mind. When driving route 30 east, or west in Absecon. There are no left TURNS.......in order to get the other side you must make a u-turn.....there will be signs letting you know of where to turn. The mall I stumbled across in Hamilton, NJ was very nice. Atlantic City......on the other hand was not at all i expected. Don't get me wrong some parts were nice and other's not so nice.....you be the judge if you ever go there. The Board walk definitely needs updating..There were housing developments that need sprucing up...what an eye sore. Air quality was bad.......could not see anything during my time spent on the beach.......some parts of Atlantic City especially Baltic Avenue.....Funny! Most of their streets are named either from the Monopoly board or States........for instance.....Boston Ave, Pennsylvania street etc............. Atlantic City is okay if you never visited it before.....You will need to stay a few days to really know the streets and the way the people flow. People are helpful and friendly......you will find a lot of people crab fishing off highways and piers..The smell can become a little un pleasant but you'll get used to it. Pleasantville was okay.......Just have to really pay attention as to what direction you would like to go......They drive really fast there. Overall, I would visit again but will not stay at the Quality INN...........There are a lot of other motels-hotels on the strip. Oh! Must try Goodfellows resturant. Go there during Happy hour...the price is just right half off on drinks and selecting appetizers.....Also I would suggest eating at Skelly's price reasonable and food is good as well......... If you decide to try one of NJ Steak N Cheese as we northerners say here up north and Southerner's call it cheese steak......the make their steak and cheese with provolone cheese....everywhere you go....Nasty!!! Did not enjoy that at all. Anyhow. Good luck to anyone who decides to go and visit Atlantic City. Visiter from Boston, MA !!!!!!!!

After having miserable experiences at other motels in the area, I've decided that Quality Inn is the best place in the area for the amount of money they charge. The rooms are clean, unlike the others in the area, and everything is pretty new. I regret ever having gone to a different place... like the Scottish Inn (worst motel ever.)

We stayed in the new rooms in the back. Everything was very clean. Even the sheets had no stains on them. We couldn't believe it. The continental breakfast is nice-bagels, danish, cereal, and belgian waffles. Noisy car lot next door but they close in the evening. Sea gulls got us up early. Not far from Atlantic City. Nice to be away from the Boardwalk. Goodfellas restaurant very good nearby. We recommend it for a good price and a nice place to stay.

We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Absecon Econo Lodge. Upon check-in, we were given a corner room and were told it was brand new and we were only the 2nd customers to ever stay in it. We were thrilled until we walked into the room. There were no garbage cans, no table and chairs and no mirror in the bathroom. They put us in an UNFINISHED room. We decided to make the best of it, as it was clean and we were tired from traveling. As were were unpacking, we kept stepping on something sharp in the carpet but were unable to find what it was. My husband and I cut our feet on it several times. On our third night my husband was able to find what it was. It was a buried tack sticking out apparently from when the new rug was laid. So I called the front desk and asked the manager to come over and told him about the problem. He told US to take care of it!!!! I firmly told him that my children could cut themselves on this tack and that he needed to get over here and take care of it. He reluctantly agreed. I did not appreciate his attitude and my husband let him know he did not appreciate it either. An hour later we went out for a few minutes and when we returned to our room we found that our room keys had been deactivated!!!!!! The manager apparently did not like being scolded and decided to play games by locking us out of our room!!! Luckily, the front desk employee was nice enough to be embarassed for the manager's behavior and reactivated the key. I will never return to this hotel and would NOT recommend it. I am normally very easy to please, but I cannot condone the behavior and attitude of management here.

Hotel is in the process of being renovated. Walls were exposed in both the bathroom and living area. I felt the hotel should have offered a greater discount due to the room's condition - hotel refused. Continental breakfast was awful. Served "Tang" instead of "Orange Juice." Also no sink in "kitchen" area of the lobby. I would not stay again. Definitely a "MOTEL" not a "HOTEL"

I loved the prices and the location was just right! Im coming back to atlantic city the last 2 days of april with 10 friends I need a room will check this place out again along with some others

This motel is clean and comfortable. We had a great night sleep. It is one of the only motel's that offers a microwave and fridge, coffee maker, and iron in EVERY ROOM. Good rates. We will return to stay again.
