Excellent experience for the second time!!
By Luis, 01/03/10
Excellent Boutique Hotel with a very friendly staff. Stayed there from Dec. 31, 2009 to Jan. 3, 2010. Very well located with many local restaurants nearby. However, Tennis courts (2) were not available due to lack of maintenance. They must repair them as soon as possible!!! We will be back for a third time.

Three star rating is stretching it a bit
By Kevin, 01/03/10
Rusted in-room refrigerator door, formerly white grey towels, push button dispenser instead of decent shampoo & conditioner, exterior windows with stripped gears unable to close properly, private expensive loud New Years party celebration in central courtyard made us all unwilling participants inside our room

Awful, unhelpful staff. Worst bed ever, itchy and unclean. Outdated is an understatement. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Decent hotel, though off the beaten path
By Ken, 09/08/09
We decided to go to P.R. over Labor Day and found the hotel on Sidestep. We arrived Friday night and checked in relatively easily. The room was adequate - not in the best state of repair but clean and the bed was comfy. The hotel has a great pool area, and a decent beach. The water was murky thought, not good for snorkeling! Try Crashboat Beach 20 minutes away if you want to snorkel. They had fresh hot coffee every morning. My main complaint is that the hotel is way off the beaten path. Mayaguez is about 20 minutes as is Aguadilla. There are few restaurants, stores, etc. closeby. The restaurant is quite expensive so plan on driving for your meals. That and the fact it is 2+ hours from San Juan make it a hard choice to make again. The service was good. The few requests we did have were taken care of quickly. Further, the front desk clerk let us use HIS computer to print boarding passes. That was a nice touch. If you are on this side of the island, this is a nice place. Compared to some of the places in Rincon it is reasonable.

I will never go back to Rincon Beach Resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/28/09
I live in Puerto Rico and I call a few hotels searching for an ocean front room with jacuzzy and everything was sold out. So we travel almost 3 hours to this hotel because they offer me the room that I was looking for. Guess what? when I open my room there mas no jacuzzy and no ocean view... They apologize and just say "Lady you have to be happy because you received an upgrade and I say noooo... If I want a badroom with no jacuzzy and a room without ocean view I prefeer to stay @ home... Never go bach to rincon beach resort...

My daughter's wedding was extraordinary...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/22/07
Food was excellent, rooms, neat and confortable, all areas of the hotel are impecable and beautiful, pool is very attractive, mostly the fact that it has the swim up bar. The only thing is that if you like a real ocean front room, the palm trees and some vegetation impairs some of the view.

a nice place
By steve and janie, 08/05/07
we stayed here for our honeymoon, and loved it. we went in july (middle of the slow season), and plan to return again. the hotel is about 10-15 minutes from rincon by car, so it is a great alternative to staying in rincon. service was wonderful, the hotel, beach and pool area were very clean, and tropically landscaped. our room had an ocean view with a balcony, and was very nice. the restaurant was good. we had breakfast one morning, and dinner one night. breakfast was ok, and the dinner was wonderful in food quality. the service at both meals was average, but not great. we ate out alot in rincon for most meals. this is a great romantic getaway place for adults, but not a place for kids, as there is no gameroom or kids programs. the beach is relaxing and beautiful, and pool area is fun.

What a gem!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/07
Last month we stayed at the Rincon Beach Resort to celebrate our anniversary, it was a wonderful experience. The staff was fully bilingual and very helpful all the way from planning, to our daily service. The resort is located in a quiet and beautiful bay, just a short distance away you will find the young "surfer crowd" of Rincon (that is if you are searching for "more action") In our case we had a great experience just enjoying nice romantic walks on the beach and the rest of the amenities available to us. Our room was very comfortable, clean and we enjoyed the ocean view from our balcony. To top it off we had our own heart shaped Jacuzzi in the room...what else can one ask for! We will most definitely be back to this treasured gem in the west coast of Puerto Rico.

Great experience!!!
By omyodm23, 11/08/06
Because I live in Puerto Rico, some of our vacations are what we call 'internal tourism' and I have stayed in many Parador's and hotels. But I have to say that I have stayed over 8 times in Rincon Beach, making it my all time favorite hotel. Theres beach, pool, Jacuzzi, everything to relaxx!!!

will not return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/10/06
Referring to this hotel as a resort is definitely a stretch. The service was poor. Fortunately I am bilingual, but had I not spoken spanish, I may have found myself in trouble during several scenarios. Very disappointing for Puerto Rico. The service was lousy, staff often rude (with the exception of a couple). From the beginning we were greeted or should I say not greeted by a bell man who never delivered our bags.We had to call a couple of times in order to have them delivered. We asked for a wake up call that we never received, were given keys that did not function, tried accessing the store that was not open on time among other things. The restaurant was good, will give it that, however the service was slow and mediocer. All that said, despite the lovely setting of the resort, I would not return.
