A Wonderful hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/09
The breakfast on the terrace was delicious. We had wonderful weather in October and enjoyed eating outside. The location was excellent. We walked to all the Florence destinations, so convenient to the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, the Pitti Palace and Oltrano sites. The staff was consistently helpful and kind. At checkout, they booked our train tickets to Rome on the hotel computer and printed out our receipt. The room was large and comfortable. We appreciated the wireless access in our room.

Great little hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/09
I have stayed here on 3 different occasions over the past few years - with teenagers, with my husband and teenage daughter, and on my own - and I love this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant, the breakfast is delightful, and the staff is warm and welcoming. The location could not be better, just a few minutes walk anywhere you are likely to want to go, yet removed from the tourist hustle and bustle that can really get overwhelming in Florence. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in this wonderful city.

Charming, convenient, quiet, great value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/14/09
This quiet hotel (spread on upper floors across a couple of buildings) has a great location, nice rooms, friendly staff and is a great value. We had a river view room and could see the Duomo across the river through the trees. We will certainly stay there again and recommend it highly.

Location, location, location! Silla!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/08
We needed an extra day at beginning and end of our Tuscany tour including transportation from and to the Florence airport. Prompt web reservations, accurate web site, accommodations as promised. Wonderful. People actually remembered our names. Great location! Easy walk across the Arno bridges into the city and wonderful walks along the river. Superb views from the hotel terrace. Close to small, interesting, satisfying and inexpensive restaurants. Beware of Friday nights for street noises that might interfere with your sleeping. Good value for the cost.

Excellent experience
By Daniel, 11/07/08
My wife, 13 year-old son and I stayed at the Hotel Silla Florence and were very well impressed. The transfer from the train station to the hotel was arranged by the hotel and worked perfectly. Very friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable and clean triple room. We paid exactly what was advertised -- no hidden charges. We would definitely stay there again. We would also recommend it to our family, friends and anyone who is looking for a memorable stress-free stay.

Perfect hotel for exploring Florence
By lindas, 10/21/08
We loved the easy atmosphere about the Hotel Silla. It is conveniently located in Florence, so that we could walk everywhere we went. Breakfast was delightful, with cappuchinos flowing and a beautiful outdoor terrace. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Florence. We can't wait to return!

Excellent choice for a stay in Florence
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/08
Like--location and service. The location of this hotel, especially if one is driving, is excellent. You can reach the hotel easily and they have a garage for paid parking. The service was excellent and staff were always most helpful. The location, just across the river enables one to experience a hotel stay which is out of the mad rush of tourists in the squares of Florence while having easy across the bridge. Outstanding breakfast. Dislike--second floor reception and a set of steps required to reach the elevator. For someone with lots of luggage or handicapped, this is a real problem. At least a ramp would help access to the elevator.

A perfect little gem! What a great find!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/08
I just returned from a ten day visit to Florence. Hotel Silla was my home away from home during these warm summer days. The room was small, but comfortable for a single person, it had everything one needed for a visit to this great city: a nice view across the patio, a little park, the Arno and you could even see the Duomo and hear its glorious bells. And the A/C was working! The hotel staff was more than accommodating and helpful, they arranged for a smooth transfer from and to the airport, always made the laptop in the lobby available for those who cannot live without email. The location allows one to get away from the continuous foot traffic of the centro storico, even though all the sights are easily reachable on foot. I also loved the cappuccino and the wonderful breakfast on the patio. Have already recommended the hotel to a friend who will visit in the spring of 2009; and I will certainly stay there again on my next visit. Ciao and arrivederci.
