Hotel Monna Lisa, Florence

Great hotel - reasonable rates, good breakfast buffet, convenient location, helpful staff. I will stay here again on my next trip to Florence.

The hotel is full of charm and character. Rooms are spacious,comfortable,clean,each with their own ambience,with all the amenities you would need.The staff is friendly and always ready to assist you, no matter what your needs. Conveniently located,within walking distance of all major attractions and restaurants. Be sure to visit the courtyard garden. We were there in the spring when the garden was in full bloom, so beautiful. Included in the price of the room is a wonderful breakfast, don't sleep through it. When I return to Florence I will stay here again without a doubt.

The hotel was very romantic and at the same time overwhelming, with its old furniture and statues. The room we stayed in (no.29) was small but comfortable and clean. The only negative of this room was that the window was overlooking the street outside. I would suggest a room with a view to the courtyard they have. The hotel staff was wonderful... We felt really at home there (and this comes from people who live in Cyprus, an island known for its hospitality!!) We recommend it 200%!!!!

2nd stay in two years, cannot say enough about how great this hotel is. Location is ideal, gardens are beautiful after a hard day of sightseeing. Breakfast was great, staff where Great! Get room number 5 if possible, second floor with large terrace overlooking gardens, it is in the photo gallery. Gave good recommendations on dining, have a hot pannini for lunch, and a little wine. Good hot water!

When I was a teenager my family and I stayed at a place very similar to it. I wish my memory was much more vivid, but all I know it is like no other place here on earth.

The Hotel Monna Lisa is situated in the center of Florence, approximately 30-minutes driving distance from Florence Vespucci Airport. Local attractions include the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, and Piazzale Michelangelo. Hotel amenities include babysitting, tour assistance, car rentals, free daily newspaper, 24-hr concierge, doctor on call, multilingual staff, safe deposit box, laundry/valet services, Internet access, parking (upon request), garden, exercise room, solarium, and American Bar. Guest rooms feature satellite TVs, direct-dial telephones, mini-bars, A/C, and in-room safes.

I don't know the price I paid (package deal with go-today.) However, I would not hesitate to stay here again. The staff was extra friendly ... especially the young lady who worked in the bar and the breakfast buffet area. The free breakfasts were adequate...much better then we had in Venice, and the rooms were attractive, and nicely furnished. There is a courtyard with tables and chairs. The hotel is on a small side street, but everything (restaurants, museums, duomo, shops, are all within a short walk.
