Love it
By ,
I LOVE this hotel. It is my favourite! Pros: Definitely five star luxury. The enormous beds are so comfortable with the most luxurious pillows and duvets I've experienced. There are plenty of lounges to relax in so you don't have to stick to your room. The lounges are intimate and the conservatory has outstanding views of the loch. We spent hours sitting in the lounges reading papers or books and sipping hot chocolate or tea. Breakfast is perfect, an outstanding selection. The restaurant produces exquisite food too. Staff very friendly. Cons: Expensive!!! View from bedrooms isn't great. We've stayed 3 times and 2 times had views of a roof! The restaurant menu doesn't change daily so on our 3rd night we struggled with the choice. After our 3rd stay we felt things had gone a little down hill in the hotel. Just slight little things like no 'branded' luxury soap and handcream in the toilets just standard dispensers. However, we were upgraded to a beautiful room for free so I can't complain too much. This hotel is SOOOO lovely we never manage to leave it to look around Belfast!

The Best in Ireland
By ,
There is a reason why the Culloden Hotel is the most popular with the rich and the famous. It is the definition of luxury. Its location is phenomenal and the views are exquisite. The staff are all very helpful and the rooms are immaculate. It thoroughly deserves its place up there among the other luxury hotels in Britain and in my opinion five stars just about does it justice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with an eye for luxury... oh and a bulging wallet.

Gem of Belfast
By ,
The hotel was lovely - full of ambiance. Location fantastic. Views Amazing. Spa - WOW! Do not even have words to describe it! Views from room a little disappointing (brick roof) but you cant have it all. Service was brilliant. Food below average. Don't pass it - well exceeds Hilton (apart from food)!

Great Location
By ,
This hotel apparently occupies a former Bishop's residence and by all accounts the Bishop lived well! We really enjoyed the property and stayed here as an alternative to the city center, which is 15 minutes away by taxi etc. The Antrim coast and giant's causeway is easily accessible from this spot as well. The rooms were fine and the food was good, but the interior and exterior of the old part of the hotel really made the stay special. The staff were very courteous and extremely helpful in planning our road trips and the spa was a great pre dinner treat. Generally a very good hotel, a little expensive and maybe not completely worthy of five stars.

The highlight of our trip!
By ,
The facility is phenomenol, the food extravagant, the staff attentive. It's like staying in a living museum. Every corner housed another photo oportunity. We had a suite with what must have been a 12-foot bathtub. This was the loveliest hotel I've seen in either Ireland, and hospitality is something that these folks are well-known for providing. The breakfast alone was worth the pricy fee. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

An old fashioned luxury hotel
By ,
The public rooms in the old part of the hotel are elegant and extremely comfortable. Big armchairs to sink into in front of open fireplaces. Bedrooms are airy and individually furnished. Food is good and I especially recommend the wheaten bread made on the premises - Its possibly the best in Ireland !
