Copthorne Tara Hotel London, London

This is the best deal in London, as far as I am concerned. It is comfortable, clean, great service, and very affordable for such a nice hotel. The location is great, close to the tube and walking distance to Kensington Palace. It's a classy hotel in a classy part of town but not over-priced like so many similiar hotels in London. I would never stay anywhere else in London.

Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensignton is a very good hotel in London. Clean and with an excellent location, there is everything you may need at close range: stores, restaurants of every tipe and price, places to enjoy. etc. Concierge is efficient, they even booked us to a city tour of London, and to The Beatles Tour in Liverpool. They have good food on restaurants on premises, and a sort of cafeteria with light food, and very corteous personnel. The price is reasonable, taking into account that London is an expensive city. I will use it again if I come back to London.

The hotel is well located near Kensigton Gardens and offers everything you need for an enoyable stay - comfortable beds, spacy bathroom, iron, fridge, tea set, etc. Our room was spacious and cozy (in comparison to other hotels' tiny room ours was a suite), all the facitities were working properly. For the price we paid we couldn't be happier. I'll denititely recommend it to my friends as a lovely place to stay.

I was surprise when we arrive at how secluded the hotel was. I then realized how close to everything it was. The hotel was very comfortable and quite. The bus system as well as the underground we a block away. Walking was great to. I found my favorite food store (Whole Foods)one block away. It was a great way to see the English food selections. I will be staying at this hotel again for convience as well as price.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The location is escellent, just 5 minutes to the High Street Kensington tube station. It is only a short walk to Kensington Gardens and Kensington Palace. We bid $75 USD Priceline per night for the room and when all the fees were added it came up to $90 per night for a one week stay in June 2006. London is very expensive overall so we felt this was a good price for the quality of the hotel and location. The rooms were smallish but clean and comfortable. I requested a room with a view and was given a room on the 8th floor. I would have no problem staying there again and recommending it to a friend.

We've stayed at the CT several times over the past several years, booking through Priceline. We were a little nervous the first time after reading some reviews, so emailed asking for a room away from the tube. When we arrived, we were able to check in early, the room was clean, and the staff courteous. Our subsequent visits get better and better. The hotel seems spiffier, and now that the lobby is no-smoking, it is a great place to have a drink and people watch. We love going to the Pret at the tube station for coffee and sandwiches, and from the CT you can walk everywhere. Great restaurants everywhere. Best of all, we've paid the same price each time! We really enjoy our stays.

The location is very convenient. It is accessible to the places we wanted to see. The hotel is clean. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. It is a nice place to stay for vacation.

You've just posed in front of Big Ben, caught a glimpse of Tony Blair in front of Number 10, and tried to squeeze in some high tea with the Queen, but she didn't return your calls. The last thing you want to do is trek back to a distant cheapo hotel 4 train rides away. Luckily, there is one affordable hotel in central London that doesn't resemble the one the Griswolds stayed in. Although the Copthorne Tara hotel's exterior is no London photo op, the inside is clean, bright, and shiny -- all the things we enjoy in a hotel lobby. The rooms are equipped with everything you'd expect, and they're roomy, even by American standards. The best thing about this hotel, however, is its stellar location right behind the High St. Kensington tube station, which leads to every major tourist attraction in London. It's even walking distance from Princess Diana's Kensington Palace! Plus, the High Street is a great place to hit up the shops you'd find on crowded Oxford Street, but without the masses of people. I highly recommend the Copthorne Tara, not only for its great location, but also for its unusual size and standard for the price. Enjoy London! Say hi to Madonna for me!

We were very pleased with the hotel in every way. For the price it is an excellent bargain. The room size was small for US but certainly fair to good for British standards. Staff helpful. Highly satisfied. Clean, modern, close to the tube (with good connections) and shops.

We booked this hotel through Priceline at a great rate but after reading several unfavorable reviews were not sure we got such a deal. We sent off an email right away with a request for a quiet, non-smoking room on a high floor and received a reply within a day. At check-in, they had our request and we got a very nice room on the ninth floor away from the Underground. We got in early and our room was not yet ready but we were able to leave our bags with the Concierge at no extra cost. Overall, the staff was very pleasant and helpful, even letting us into the Business Center in the evening at no charge to check-in online before our return flight home. The room had a refridgerator and there were several places very nearby to buy light groceries. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, anytime, and would stay there again.
