We loved every minute.

We loved the Jean Cocteau art. We had TWO terraces in our room - one right facing the bay/water, the other facing the hillside & the water. Spectacular! They parked our rental car in their garage and got it out very quickly whenever we needed it. The hotel is very lovely - our room was very pretty and large and their suggestions on where to eat were great. Villefranche is a gorgeous place to be and this hotel is the best. THis is not one of those ULTRA LUXURIOUS pretentious places - if you want that go to St. Jean Cap Ferrat. LW Henry

I small, nice hotel with a grate location.

Very nice location and see wiew. Neare to the railwaystation. It has only breakfast, but there are a lot of restaurants near by to choose from. A nice beach close by and the area is nice for walks.

Longing to Return

It is one of the most romantic settings one can find. The only thing between the hotel and the Mediterranean is a cobblestone street with gaslight lamps and no vehicle traffic. The balconies hover over the water and the street below is awash with accodian music and travelers.

An ideal spot on the Cote D'Azur

Welcome Hotel has all of the ingredients that will make you want to stay forever. The Mediterranean is right outside your window, the breakfast is fresh and appetizing, and the location is in the heart of Villefranche sur Mer (the Cote D'Azur version of small town). In my opinion, Villefranche is the perfect choice for a town in this area- you can walk the whole town, it has a convenient train station, and has just enough good restaurants to keep you happy. We visited this hotel in May 2004 and the crowds were minimal, so we felt like locals. The hotel staff was adequately friendly and the room was nice. What really made it stand out to us was the view of the sea from our room and those lingering cocktail hours watching the sunset from the dining area. We will definitely consider a return trip!
