A great second honeymoon!!
My husband surprised me with this 4 night stay at the Jorgensens Palace in Horsens. The architecture is beautiful as is the history. The rooms were very comfortable with feather beds and pillows that we sunk into after walking all day. In the morning I opened the windows to hear the bells on the clock tower. We stayed 3 nights in the economy room and after a short trip to Copenhagen we spent the last night right above the front entrance next to the King's room. The last room as beautiful as it was, was a little louder than the first room in the back. The bustle of shop owners in the morning setting up woke me up at about 7:00 a.m.. The hotel furnishes each room with earplugs that can help.
Included was a continental breakfast with homemade breads and rolls, a wonderful selection of cheeses and jams, fresh fruit, cereal, juices, coffee and more. The dining room was beautifully decorated with fresh linens and candles on each table.
The palace is located within walking distance of just about everything. You just have to walk out the front door and start your shopping in the streets. The tourist info is right across the street to the left.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we are planning to stay there again on our next trip to Horsens (maybe a third honeymoon?)!!!
