BEWARE!
No air conditioning in the lobby, just for starters. The elevators barely work, so people use the stairs. The place is like a high security installation, so if you have a friend in the city or at another hotel, s/he cannot visit (the plus side, I guess, is that you do not have to worry about intruders at all). The food is nothing to brag about, but you are paying for it anyway, since it is included. But at least you get to enjoy it in an un-air-conditioned dining hall! This place should've been bulldozed a decade ago. STAY AWAY. Stay at the Hilton, Americana or Cristofer Colombo, all very good. And prepare to be harassed NON-STOP by beach vendors, unless you are at the Hilton's private beach or plan on hanging by the pool. Also, eat your meals in the old city--Bellisimo, for one, and the one across from the old church, which has the same name as the church.
