This Place Stinks Literally
By luisf, 9/28/09
The room smelled and I could not tell which was worse the smoke smell in my non smoking room or if it was the sewage smell coming from the bathroom drain pipes. Changing rooms did not help. I will definitely not be going back.

Ok if you just need a place to sleep.
By AbelL, 7/23/08
The room was very small. From what I've read online (while in the room) many of the rooms in the old part of the hotel are small. The side to stay on is in the Cristobal Tower. The food was expensive for what you get. I understand being fancy, but don't sacrifice taste and portions for presentation. The staff stays out of the way (as they should). My room was clean every day. I stayed here on business so it wasn't really my money being spent, but if I was to come back to Chile on my own dime, I would not stay here. Too much money spent on fluff and tiny rooms.

same as the other people
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/27/07
there seems to be an issue here with real reviews being contrasted with obvious planted reviews. 1) rooms are small and a "non'smoking" room smelled of smoke 2) breakfast is horrible 3) internet is very expensive 4) had to change room THREE times to get a decent one. 5) Arrived back to the room after a long business day to find that our room had not been made up yet - at 6.30pm!

Good Potential, but Poorly Managed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/4/07
The hotel's location was convenient for my three week business trip during December 2006, and the employees offered very courteous customer service. However, the following is a list of reasons why I was very dissatisfied with my stay: 1) CLEANLINESS - When I checked in to my non-smoking room, there was cigarette ash on the bathroom floor and vomit on the carpeting. I finally had to change rooms when these problems were not resolved by the second day. 2) NOISE - A professional sports team, who were guests at the hotel, celebrated their victory beside the pool at 2 a.m. with loud shouting and bright news camera lights. In spite of my complaints, the hotel neither ended the celebration nor compensated me for the inconvenience. 3) IRON AND IRONING BOARD - These are only available upon request. On one occasion, no irons were available. On another occasion, the iron repeatedly short-circuited all the electricity in my room. On each occasion, the ironing board was dirty.

OK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/28/07
The staff was rude, the buffets (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are horrible, and they tried to charge me US $20 for the breakfast even though they said it was free. The rooms are very small, and smell of smoke. Definately not for non-smokers.

awful food
By Murthy, 3/13/06
We enjoyed the hotel with excellent aminities. The poolside gardens for lounging are especially stunning with view of the mountain and the trams ferrying. The food quality was exceptionally bad. Not many choices for vegetarians as well. The buffet breakfast could not have been worse.

Beautiful hotel in a good location!
By Marcela, 6/8/05
I have really enjoy my several stays in this hotel. It's perfectly located for business and pleasure trips. The decoration of the lobby is adorable and the rooms are very spacious and well decorated as well. I also enjoy the view from the rooms, the swimming pool and the restaurant next to it.

Be careful, the excelent one is the Tower
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/04
The Tower is excellent in rooms, sharing all the other good stuff with the standard sheraton (rooms not very good)

Great customer service!
By Rodrigo L, 9/10/04
Located in one of Santiago's exclusive areas, the Sherarton would satisfied any traveller with their impecable custumer service. From the lobby counter to the pool, the hotel staff would always have a great smile and answers to all your questions. The rooms are confortable (king size bed on standard rooms) with an impecable decor. Other great features of the hotel are the gym and a complete business center.
