End of an era?
By ,
Location and customer service from the more veteran employees is always great! Unfortunately, what was once an important landmark in Cochabamba's downtown since the 1960s has been in disrepair for years and needs a complete makeover pronto. Although the rooms are clean, they are small and the hotel's furniture and style is still stuck in the 1980s. Internet is slow and almost nonexistent. Plenty of new hotels have sprouted in Cochabamba the past few years, and competition might either doom or force Hotel Ambassador to improve itself. It would be sad if this would be the end of the line for one of the truly first "international" hotels in Cochabamba.

Is not a 4* hotel
The decor is very old fashioned and in need of modernisation. Room was small for double occupancy and the bathroom was positively pokey. But the hotel is near to the centre. Breakfast was poor. However if a little money was spent on updating the place it would be an ideal tourist hotel.

Treated like family
By ,
I flew all the way from Houston, Texas never having gone to Bolivia before. I did not know what to expect, so let me tell you what I found at the Ambassador in Cochabamba. I had a great experience, The hotel is not new by any means but has much spendor and grace. The views out the window was outstanding, I felt like that staue of Christ looking out for the people of Cochabamba. The staff speaks some english, but that was never a problem, we communicated just fine, I spent four days there, and honestly have no complaints. I got to know the staff well enough to say that I really miss them, and look foward to a return trip. I hope that your next stay will be at the Ambassador. Thanks again Ted Vega

A comfortable hotel in the centre of the city
By ,
We had a great time in Cochabamba, and the service offered by the Hotel was excellent. The employees are really friendly and the location is perfect to visit the city; the value is OK, having all that's necessary. I plan to return to Cochabamba and hope to recieve the same service at Ambassador.

Still very good
By ,
Last June (2004) I was in the GHA for the second time. The first time was in 1989 and up to now the hotel still very good with a very kind personnel. The hotel is clean, the food honest and the location OK. In Cochabamba GHA is a very traditional and safe choice.
