Unlike some people on this site who are saying that TELAMAR is expensive, YOU are totally wrong.. There is a new place called La Ensenada Beach Resort who charges 50-60 dollars for all internationals and that does not include MEAL. Telamar offers a minimum of 350 lempiras, more or less, and thats "entry granted, if you eat at our buffet". That means, you can go in to eat for 300 Lempiras and stay there for ever. Meals are great, a lot of seafood as well.

After spending a week touring the mountains, jungles, villages, etc. We decided to enjoy the end of a beautiful and most exciting vacation in a bit of luxury. We certainly found luxury and more at this top rated hotel!! The rooms were clean, spacious and modern. The food was incredible!! The beach was perfect! As a landscaper, I have a true appreciation for the beautiful gardens and landscape design! The staff was extremely professional and friendly. What I want to know is, how do I get ahold of a few more bars of that incredible soap supplied in the bathroom!?! You could make a fortune selling that on the open market!!! Thank you for a very memorable experience!

It is a beautiful place with bad service. We absolutely love staying at the telemar. The beach is beautiful & pool is very clean and it is peaceful and quiet at the telamar. The only problems are the front desk staff, they are so rude and they don't like to help you if you don't speak spanish & there is no entertainment there so it does get boring at times and all you can do is sleep. One front desk staff was amazing and tried everything to help us and her name was Denise and the manager Evelyn, everyone else is terrible. The food is expensive and they charge any visitors a total of $300 lemps. just to visit a friend or family that is vacationing there which is rediculous. The price to stay at the telamar in american money is a little much and expensive and this is just staying in the old villas not the new ones their building. The security is perfect and they greet you when you come in and out. Also security is always riding their bikes around making sure everything is ok, which we did appreciated. It's the safest place in Tela to stay at but the main thing is the prices and the rude front desk which they need to improve on. Don't get me wrong if ever we go back to Tela we will stay again at the telamar but we'll also have to save a full year in advanced because the prices to stay there and to eat is crazy..The amount you pay to be a guest there it should include the food & entertainment but I guess that would be too much to ask for them to do. But if you are looking for some kind of entertainment you have to walk about 20 minutes to go to the Iguana or you can take a cab. I would recommend this villa if you had a choice between the Sherwood, Marisco or the Equitivo. They just need alot more improvement. Despite all the bad things it's a good place to stay when you have children for safety reasons.

I like this place, the nocturn life, congratulation about the discoteque, today have a great sound, The room service is Bad. The nightlife end so early. we hope can help with this opinions Thank you

I Love it. I was there at the beginning of 2008 and it was amazing, it was wonderfull. I was extremly impress with their facilities. The pool, the beach, the restrooms and the dorms. Everything was extremly clean and the staff was extremly friendly and courteous. However, the only complaint that I have, is that (management) didn't change my Hundread dollar bill because it was old. I had no idea that they had that policy. But besides that little inconvenience, everything else was excellent. I am planning to go back after Spring Break. Looking forward to go back and enjoy Telamar once again.

everything was great!!!! the drinks were incredible and the weather was perfect it was the best trip ever!!! it was clean and it felt like a 5 star hotel =]

I didnt stay at their hotels but visited with classmates from my college. The beach is unforgetable. If you ever dreamed of a commercial beach from the TV, this would be it in all reality. AMAZING! It is worth every cent put into it. Also the little Tiki Restraunt by the beach is beautiful!

It is the safest, cleanest place to get away from the noise, traffic, and vendors along the north coast of Honduras. Of course, this is the opinion of one American female. I am married to a Honduran man, live in La Ceiba (about 45 min. east of Tela), and love spending a day in paradise...TELA. There is not a lot to do as a whole in the city of Tela, but do not be discouraged. If you are looking for a safe, clean beach to take your family...this is the place to go. It is alittle pricey, but once you enter the resort you will gain an appreciation for its cleanliness. My husband and I do not usually spend the night in the hotel. There is a waiting list that will make you plan ahead. The good thing though, you can pay $15 pp and spend the entire day lounging pool-side, beach-side, enjoying the water park built inside the resort's property, eating WONDERFUL food, having a few drinks, possibly getting your hair braided, or walking around and admiring the craftmanship of the local folks. From one traveler to another....it is worth every penny! God Bless and Enjoy your journey!

I really loved the facilities and the rooms...A very romantic atmosphere in the evening....The service was great! The only thing that I disliked was that the restaurants were expensive and didn't have a broad range (mostly seafood and I'm vegetarian!) But the food was good

I really enjoyed our stay at Telamar. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, with great view, AC. I loved the huge pool, and old & young had fun on the slide. Spent a good deal of time at the in-pool bar. Food at the restaurant was very good. Friendly staff. Went to the pier to fish with the locals. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. First rate! Experienced traveller.
