Pelican Beach Resort Dangriga, Dangriga

The accomodations were great! We were on a work trip and this was a great place to retreat to at the end of a work day. The food was great and the breeze blowing over the waters.... and off the veranda were a welcoming place to rest.

Great place to stay. Sooo relaxing - beautiful pier out in the ocen - spent way too much time in the hammock drinking great drinks from the bar. Very friendly staff. Nothing special about the rooms but very comfortable.

A perfectly laid-back atmosphere. Stayed with a group, got to know the 2 waitresses and bartender by name. Restaurant has local fare, tasty and sanitary. Rooms were clean with A/C (a must!). No super-amenities like your big corporate Caribbean resorts. The beach is nothing to write home about, but you can go to the barrier reef for a reasonable fee ($40 +/-) and snorkel amongst some of the best corals and colorful fish in the hemisphere. In-land tours available for comparable prices, too. If I return to Belize (likely), I will stay at the Pelican.
