Great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/5/11
I have been traveling to Puerto Rico every year for the past 8 years, and this hotel was the best I have stayed., I checked in at Olimpo Court Hotel in Octobedr 16th to October 22, 2011. i must say, i am blowed away with the hotel over all. The location is fantastic, as the buses run up and down every minute of the day. The area and the hotel itself is quiet and very safe. The hotel have it;s own security guard, who protrolled the lobby from 11:OO PM nightly. The room was very clean and had everything you need to make your stay comfortable, and enjoyable. A Microwave, a Refrigerator, a Safe to lock away your valuable when leaving the room, an aircon that did not break down, and two comfortable beds with clean pillows. What I like most about the hotel, was the fact that they take pride in cleaning your room on a daily basis. The linens were change on a daily basis, The staff's and helpers were always so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends who is traveling to Puerto Rico, and also, I will diffinitely returned to Olimpo Court Hotel whenever I returned to PR. Was indeed a great experience. "THANK YOU"OLIMPO COURT, for a job well done.

Good Experience
By Gayle Marshall, 3/3/09
It was a fairly basic hotel but it was cleaned every day, had cable tv and hot water in the shower. The staff was always very friendly and helpful (spoke english). The location was also fantastic! Close to restaurants, shops, the supermarket and bus transport. Had a wonderful trip!

Love it!
We used to stay at the Marriot up the road, but this place is much less $$$, the rooms are cute and comfortable. There's Pueblo supermarket right there, Dominos, many restaurants, pharmacies, laundry, Chinese food, you can take a bus to go to Rio Piedras,Old San Juan, Carolina or Plaza Las Americas. The staff is friendly, what more could you ask for??? It's not as pricey, so its not going to be like resort style, but when I come to shop all I need is a clean place with some TV, a refigerator and a microwave, and a comfy bed to lay my head. Olimpo provides all that.

inexpensive, friendly staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/23/08
I like the area, it's has a super market, Dominos pizza, Subways, Chinese food, spanish food, and a drug store with every in it..open till 11:00pm. The bus take you to Old San Juan or the other way to Isla Verde. Walking distance to the Condado beach and the strip.

You get what you pay for.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/07
If you are expecting a resort hotel, this is not the place. Although the small rooms are clean, the rest of the hotel is in need of updating. The lobby is old and rundown, the front desk closes after midnight and offers little in the way of services, the elevator is small and old, and the halls are dreary. Except for a restaurant, which I here is quite good but never seemed to open during my stay, there is nothing else to this hotel. In addition, I would hardly describe the location as upscale. It didn't appear to be the kind of area you would like to go for an evening stroll in. The beaches are a considerable walk, bus transportation is unpredicatable and taxi's are expensive. The only plus is the price. However, you might be better served by paying a little more to enjoy your vacation.

Disappointed
By Allison, 5/20/06
I had left the booking of my hotel in Puerto Rico to my travelling companion. My previous stays on the island were all on the Condado, I was therfore tken aback at the peeling facade of the Olimpo when I arrived. It may have been something fine in its day, but despite some evidence of renovations, this Hotel is is long past its prime. Miramar is definitely too far from the action in Puerto Rico On arrival at the Olimpo Court there was no one to help with the luggage, the guest elevator was not working and we were obliged to use the service elevator which is located next to a foul smelling dumpster, the hotel stairwell reeked of disinfectant and the man at the front desk was rude. Suffice to say we stayed at the Olimpo Court (or I should say our luggage stayed) for as long as it took for us to walk around the corner to check in at the Marriott Miramar. $78.00 down the drain!!!

Olimpo Rocks!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/18/05
This place is great! It was in a residential area, so there wasnt much to do in the general vicinity, but a quick bus ride (50 cents!) can take u to old san juan, and its about a 20 minute walk, or 5 minute cab ride to a small lagoon beach in condado. The room we stayed in had a huge bed and a microwave (I wished I had a fridge instead). The room was clean, had a tv with tons of channels, and a decent sized bathroom. The only thing I didnt like was that the water pressure in the shower wasnt great. The staff was super friendly and helpful, they told us places to go, and gave helpful hits of places to avoid. There is also a WONDERFUL restaurant adjacent to the hotel, El Chayote. It is SUPER expensive, but worth it! I had the most tender and juicy veal chop ever, with a delish goat cheese risotto. The desert was also amazing. While Olimpo isnt the most glamourous hotel in the world, it was certainly worth every penny. I had a great stay there, and for the price and the people, I would definetly stay here again!
