Crystal Cove by Elegant Hotels All Inclusive, Bridgetown

We arrived at Crystal Cove at 12:30 a.m. after an exhausting day of travel. When we arrived our bags were wisked to our garden/ocean view room and waiting there were plates of finger foods & beverages;I knew I was close to heaven. The room was immaculate and lovely. When we awoke in the morning and I opened the drapes; the view took my breath away. The maintenance people take great pride in manicuring the gorgeous flora & fauna. The restaurant is lovely and offers great views of the ocean and cave bar pool with waterfall. Food was delicious,served by ever pleasant,smiling accommodating ladies. Free shuttle service is offered to Bridgetown. We took the island 4x4 tour which I highly recommend. It was beautiful;a must!! You get to see the entire coast. The taxis have set fees to designated places. We found the guests were mostly from England and very lovely people, no unacceptable actions considering free drinks of all kinds. This is an island of beauty and variety. We've been to most of the Caribbean Islands on cruises and this is the one we decided for our week's stay. My wife and I went to Barbados with another couple and stayed at this resort. None of us were fimilar with the island so I don't have anything to compare it to exept other resorts in other cities. So don't curse me if you had a different experience. To start off the place is not walking distance to anything except the bus stop. Plan on renting a car, paying for taxis, or riding the bus (which was kinda fun.) Secondly it is not a 4 star resort. Our room was not even as nice as a good Motel 6 in the states. It was clean... but just not nice. A good example was in the bathroom the caulking around the tub was shamefully done, and neither one of our bathroom sinks drained properly. The linens were high quality, but the bed was as hard as a rock. There was a small fridge in the room and a safe. The maid service was good. The hotel amenities were superb. Free wakeboarding was my highlight, but my wife enjoyed the free guided catamaran ride on our first day. They have snorkels and masks, boogie boards and small sail boats you can check out as well. Their gym is well equipped. I did not see any Tennis courts. There is no hot tub and the pools are pretty small. The feel of the place is like a converted apartment complex. I was not overly impressed by the service at the resort. They did not have any wait staff available to bring you drinks while on the beach. And they never seemed all that interested in helping me. They just did their job, nothing more, nothing less. By far the best feature at this resort was the food. Our first dinner there was a pleasant suprise. Everything was well prepared and tasty. All in all I would recommend going somewhere else for you first trip to the island. But again I don't know, this may be the best Barbados has to offer. It certainly isn't the best the world has to offer at this price range.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the hotel.The staff did everything in their power to make our stay comfortable.We were treated as royalties.One day we requested packed lunches as we were going to town to do some shopping,however when we went to collect it that morning we were told that the chef did not receive a copy of our request which was completed the evening before. As a result we would have to wait about 40-45 mins to get what we requested.The other option was to have cheese. we accepted the cheese and the food and beverage supervisor apologised so many times.On our return to the hotel while in our room preparing to go to the beach someone knocked on our door.my husband was greeted with a hand written apology from the food and beverage dep't and a complimentary bottle of wine on ice as a token for the inconvenience.We were so pleasantly surprised.thank you michael and others. Also the swim up bar is great ,the bar personnel are so kind and always willing to offer a refill without you even asking.drifters on the beach is also cool to hang out .It's great not even having to make your bed in the morning and when you return from breakfast your room is clean and fresh towels for bath and the beach in place. We had a blast kayaking as well.If you are wondering if this is a good vacation or honeymoon spot don't worry, i was doing research for the ideal honeymoon spot and decided to try crstal cove.Guess what we did not regret and would definitely return.thank you crystal cove!!!!

Its the best hotel Ive ever stayed in, the staff cant do enough for you, they make you feel so special. The room was excellent the double beds were larger than kingsize and the rooms were cleaned and tidied everyday. The beach was combed every morning to make sure nothing sharp has come in with the tide, everywhere was so clean and beautifull and the people are so lovely. The food is excellent, you can have four courses if you like and if you want to stay in your room, There is also a free mini bus which takes you to Bridgetown and back so you dont have to get a taxi. There are so many little extras which are free that makes your stay better than anywhere else.
