Awesome
By ,
My family goes to Bermuda every year, and this is by far my favorite hotel. The staff is excellent, the restaurants are great, and it privately owns half of the nicest beach (Elbow beach) on the island. The hotel is internationally ranked as one of the best in the world (top 200 I think, but don't quote me on that) and it is located in the wealthier parish on the island. The only thing is that this hotel is not cheap and trying to stay in a bottom level room may not be worth it. I always stay in a suit and never have any issues with my room quality. Another cool thing about this place is the level of international guests that vacation here (mostly European).

needs an update
By ,
decided to go back after trip several years ago.We stayed in a "Deluxe'"oceanview room,#252 in the main hotel to be exact. When turning on the water in the tub,a black sluge looking substance came out,After a period of time it cleared up.It appeared that the room had not been in use for a while. The water pressure was poor, but we managed; The room is located directly above the Veranda bar and the music comes up into the room--every night. We also had the smell from the cooking at Seahorse Grill below.Needless to say,we could have used a better room.We did not spend much time in the room--enjoyed the beautiful beach from sunrise to sunset every day!Overall, the entire resort is fine, but be very careful when getting a room in the main hotel. There are strong rumors that the entire main building will be remodeled in the very near future.Although the main hotel is a landmark,it is definitely in need of an update.Berrmuda is still a wonderful vacation spot, just don't expect too much for your living quarters.also, construction is rampant all over Hamilton, with large cranes looming over everywhere. The standing joke among cab drivers is that the"Crane"has taken over as the national bird.

Not all rooms created equal
By ,
My first impressions was that this hotel was over priced and over valued. Early check-in was unavailable - considering check-in is a 3PM this can seem like an eternity in 90 degree weather. Even checking back in at thedesk at 2:56PM, we hadto wait until after 3PM. Once we finally did get to our room, we discovered our preimere ocean view room wasn't so preimere and didn't have an ocean view. Instead we had a view of Lido's beach restuarant, a roadway directly behind us, and wedding tents. There was even a videographer on our back porch. We had requested a king bed, but recieved two full beds instead. Considering we were on our last vacation before having our baby, this was a really big deal. When we called the front desk to have them correct the situation no one was interested in helping us. They simply said they were at full capacity and could move us the next night. Sure enough our vacation came and went with us still in this two full bed room. The hotel property is amazing with foral gardens, a beautiful beach, and nice size pool. The rooms are a little misleading and over priced. If you rely on the service and accommadations, you'll be disappointed. If you just want to lay on the beach and enjoy nature, this is your place.

Mr. & Mrs. Honeymoon
By ,
Our room was very small and it was difficult to move around in. The sliding glass door screen was broken & off track. The furnishings were on par with a discount hotel chain. The bathroom was very small with cracked, outdated tile & fixtures. We became friends with other honeymooners who had somewhat better rooms for the same price we were paying. We honestly felt we really got screwed with these accommodations! Fortunately, the food was pretty good. Our only comps for the room dissatisfaction was a couple free drinks. I guess because we were so young, the hotel mgmt figured we would never be back again...well, they're right...and we have been telling others to avoid Elbow Beach Resort Hotel ever since.

What a mistake!
By ,
I don't mind paying to go first class. However at Elbow Beach you pay first class prices but do not receive the value or quality that you should. The room was dirty. (Both of them as we were moved once.) There is built-up soap scum on the bathroom counters, walls and floor. It appears as if nothing is ever dusted. (Large dust bunnies had accumulated under the bathroom scale.) Some of the food was well prepared and tasty. Tea in the Vernada Lounge was excellent but quite costly. Breakfast was mediocre at best: Two slices of tasteless french toast for $10 should give you some idea. The beach is great and for the most part the staff were accomodating. The free internet access in the lobby is also a plus. I'm certain there are other places to stay in Bernumda where one can find the elegance and luxury that you should be getting from Elbow Beach.

The best place on the Island
By ,
Service is great, food is wonderful, views from the rooms of ocean are incredible and the beach is the best, cleanist we've experienced. Beachfront dining is awesome. Afternoon tea on the verandah is delightful. We visit yearly and ALWAYS stay at Elbow beach. Top floor, mid hotel, ocean front is the best.

HONEYMOON HEAVEN
By ,
Perfect honeymoon spot;views were breathtaking.service was outstanding.Beach was beautiful, with extremely friendly staff.Variety of dining facilities on premises from casual cabana bar to top notch more formal dining/SeaHorse Grill is the best of the lot. There is six course wine tasting dinner menu that is superb.each course has an individual wine.Delicious!!The weather was outstanding.people in Bermuda are among the friendliest I've encountered. We stayed in the main hotel, third floor, which gave us a panorama of both the beach and pool. The walk from the beach back to the hotel is somewhat steep-but great for exercise.I've seen several negative reviews, but based on our experience,I'm already saving for a return trip to Elbow Beach.

Fabulous vacation
By ,
The Elow beach Resort can boast some of the best hotel staff I have ever encountered. The beaches are amazing and the resort is like a traditional European vacation spot. Even at near full capacity the porperty was clean, quiet and delightful. We were in an older villa suite which was showing its age a bit but it was very clean and well located on the property. As in all Bermuda be prepared to spend generously to enjoy this wonderful atlantic oasis

Why throw money down the drain?
By ,
I went to Bermuda to get away from the hustle of my job for a week, and I had a really good time. I say that because I could of had a great time if I had booked a better hotel. The fishing and city are great but this hotel messed up from the get go. Even though i had booked the hotel two months head the room i booked was filled and it seemed that the hotel had underpriced me so I was left paying the balance. The service wasn't to bad even if it took longer then I thought it should. Well I hope this helps you finding the right hotel. And Bermuda has the best fishing just for a little hint.
