Located on Punta Cancun with views of the Caribbean and offering an extensive white-sand beach, this Hyatt resort is within walking distance of top-notch shopping and nightlife. Hotel amenities include the sky-lit, dome-topped atrium and split-level pool with waterfalls, garden cabanas refreshed by soft tropical breezes, palapas and lounges chairs placed on the beach to enjoy the Caribbean and a spa featuring ocean-view massage and a variety of dining options. All 295 guestrooms feature private balconies. Each of the rooms are designed in contemporary style, decorated using soft colors, and equipped with LCD TVs, linens, MP3 alarm clocks/CD players, desks, and artwork.The dining options include Restaurant O, The Grill, The Deli, Lounges & Terraces, and The Pool Bar. Dont stay here

No Beach, bad pool, over priced. I cannot believe anyone would reccommend this hotel. My wife and I stayed here two nights and moved...it is that bad. Needs renovation badly and NO beach. stay at the American Coral Reef.

I liked the Hyatt Regency alot. The staff was great. The location is very very convenient. very close to shopping and nightlife. I loved it. The Hotel has no beach but they do offer FREE shuttle bus rides to their other HYATT to use their beach and pool. The Hyatt pool is great and the food is good too. Beds are comfy. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Exotic

Everything. The shape of the hotel was innovative, the plants inside the hoter made you feel you were in the jungle. The staff was great and very bilingual. The pool area was very convinient; with the bar on the pool area there was no need to go outside the water.

great location

when we first arrived in cancun we were amazed, the staff was friendly and the view was unbelievable. The next day we wanted to go the beach and came to realize that there was no beach. Only rocks and a big sun deck. the hotel to the left wont allow you to use their chairs on the beach. So you are forced to walk over to the other hotel on the other side. The walk isnt that bad but it would be nice to walk straight out into the ocean. Hotel was nice, staff was great, location was perfect.

Great cocktail music

My freind and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency January 2004. It is in a great location and we could hop a bus or a taxi anywhere. It is near some of the top rated clubs such as Senor Frogs. The hotel lobby is very relaxing, during the dinner hour they had an acoustics band where we could sit back and have a few cocktails and talk to other patrons. If anyone decides to stay there, take the ocean view, and on a clear night you can see for miles!

Great Hotel

The hotel on an excellent location. You can walk to the mall or clubs from the hotel, no need to get a taxi. The service was great and rooms were very clean. Will stay at this hotel again. Loved it.

cool hotel

hotel was very beautiful.it was a large group ther but it still wasnt too noisey.the breakfast was great and they had more than enough food.fresh as well.they have a beach now whic is the best. you wouldnt even b able to tell its man made. hotel staff very friendly...will def b back next yr

Great View (room)

Good food, low-keyed pool scene, not all inclusive (could get expensive this way - it was more expensive for myself & 8yr old than NY City - Dbl the original price). The worst thing was the hotel (outside of your room) did not have A/C. The lobby area is set up for the breeze coming through it... Too Hot! Otherwise it's a good place to stay. I would do all-inclusive! It's the only way to go in Cancun. Cheers!

We just recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency and loved it! It was very clean and modern. We liked that it was an eco-friendly hotel. The lobby was beautiful and outside, it had cabanas overlooking the ocean. Their spa has amazing beach massages, outside under a cabana. We went with family and our brother & sister in law couldn't be on the same floor as the rest of us but were upgraded to an ocean view room, free of charge. No beach access, but the beaches are public, so you can go right next door or across the street, and they have a great pool. We will be returning to this hotel.

HYATT CONSISTENCY

Great views, fabulous spa & massage, courteous service, fantastic location, not enough sand, but close to AZUCAR Cuban Nightclub for dancing salsa. If you need to use the beach just take the walkway down to the left towards the W and enjoy the next sandy cove. Probably the nicest location for shopping and good food without too much noise. Taxi stand right out in front w/ breakfast buffet extraordinaire. I highly recommend that you try the room service as well, the view from the tower in any direction while drinking a coffee and eating a Mexican omelette is terrific.
