Hyatt Regency Cancun, Cancun

The hotel on an excellent location. You can walk to the mall or clubs from the hotel, no need to get a taxi. The service was great and rooms were very clean. Will stay at this hotel again. Loved it.

We returned from 5 nights about two weeks ago and stayed here. Our intention of the trip was to relax but also find a place to get married at next year. Little did we know we'd like this hotel the best and we're now finalizing a date for our ceremony and reception. We also had a great room on the 10th floor that we got because I'm a Gold Passport member. This gave us a great view of the beach and the rest of the Hotel Zone. One more thing, the federal government has rebuilt the beach this past winter and it's awesome!

Good food, low-keyed pool scene, not all inclusive (could get expensive this way - it was more expensive for myself & 8yr old than NY City - Dbl the original price). The worst thing was the hotel (outside of your room) did not have A/C. The lobby area is set up for the breeze coming through it... Too Hot! Otherwise it's a good place to stay. I would do all-inclusive! It's the only way to go in Cancun. Cheers!

hotel was very beautiful.it was a large group ther but it still wasnt too noisey.the breakfast was great and they had more than enough food.fresh as well.they have a beach now whic is the best. you wouldnt even b able to tell its man made. hotel staff very friendly...will def b back next yr

From our first visit to the Hyatt Regency Cancun in 1993, we have returned at least 7 times and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Our entire family, consider it our "home away from home." The staff is fantastic. The location - remote. Several years ago, the city of Cancun was devistated by a hurricane. We called to see if everyone was OK, and thankfully no one was hurt, but when we saw the photos we all were devistated. We waited for the grant reopenning to return and while everything was bright and new and somewhat different, our feelings remained the same - we were home. One more thing, we loved it so much that in 1996 we arranged to be married there over looking the ocean. Next year is our anniversary and I am alreadly making plans to return. Enjoy yourselves, Have a great time. Get to know the staff, they are the best and they will make you feel the same way.

We plan on staying at one of the local hotels in Cancun (not franchise) because there are more restaurants/activities. Hyatt did not have beach access and really had only one restaurant. Any other location (we usually stay in the Hyatt hotels), this Hyatt would be a 4-5 star hotel, but in Cancun, it's comparable to a Holiday Inn bc of many other wonderful and nicely priced hotels. Look for other hotels that have more activities bc 65% of the time, you want to stay within your hotel since it only takes about 2 days to explore outside of.

Could not have asked for nicer more accomodating staff! We stayed on the 14 floor (VIP) and paid alittle extra for the Lounge Services which was well worth it! As our shuttle arrived from the airport there was a bellmen waiting for us. He swept us off to the lounge, handed us a beverage and explained everything about the hotel and answered all of our questions. He showed us to our room where our bags were waiting! The breakfast buffet was a perfect start before heading down to the pool! With so many options to choose from as far as where you can realx in the sun you never feel crowded. The Happy Hour in the lounge was a great way to meet people and just relax and have a few drinks before heading out on the town. If your there for the night life the Hyatt is PERFECT you can walk to all the main attractions. The hotel was clean, the staff was great and the selections of resturants was great. I would stay here again and again! If you head to Cancun I highly reccomend the ATV tour, the guides were great and the ride was awesome. Thanks to the entier staff at the Hyatt for making my first trip to Cancun the best!!

Liked the buddhist slant to this hotel. Calm and elegant. Staff is extremely attentive. Yet, you can walk to Carlos & Charlies, Hard Rock Cafe, and all the other crazy clubs. Recommend the view from the Club rooms.

This hotel was in a great location and full of class. From the food the relaxing atmosphere, the smoothi jazz and easy listening music that you hear by the poolside and the oceanview cabanas..YES this hotel got it going on. Fabulous views, and the staff was extremely friendly. Had the all inclusive and it was definitely worth every penny. Some of the reviews are not accurate. The hotel might of been that way after the hurricane in 05 - but in '08' everything was just great. A lot of your nightlife is in walking distance so you don't have to take a cab or bus to get to it. Coco Bongo, Sebor Frogs and Daddy o just to name a few. nYes, it is true they don't have an actual beach, but you can walk 5 minutes to Dreams hotel beach right next door. What was really specail they have cabanas over looking the ocean with a full matress and fluffy pillows. I would highly reccomend this hotel.

We enjoyed a first trip to Cancun and would likely stay again at this truly relaxing hotel. I appreciate a lot of positive reviews and could imagine how things improve with timing and renovations. Very relaxing, nice decor, with a simple pool and lounge. The location and views are fantastic. A great value and wonderful experience for reasonable rates. One of the gems you may find in Cancun. If travellers prefer to enjoy all their meals at their hotel, might be on a honeymoon, or need to have beach access doors, you might choose elsewhere such as an all inclusive. If I went elsewhere, I might not want to be so close to the clubs. Or I might want to be closer to the ferries or downtown or playa tortugas. [Isla Mujeres is a great day trip.] Still, with such wonderful views, kind service, relaxing decor, and the nearby transportation, I expect will be back here quite a few times. Muchas gracias Hyatt.
