Horrible Service
I stayed at this hotel in May of 2005 with about 100 other people...we had all come to Cancun for our Senior Graduation trip. My experience with this hotel was completely ridiculous.
First, when the whole group of us arrived, it took them about 3 hours to get rooms ready for us (we had had the trip planned for at least 7 months) and even then, they did not have enough rooms for us and a few groups of people had to go to another hotel.
When we FINALLY got into our hotel room, there was no mini-fridge in our room and it took 4 days of asking them for one to finally get one! (We were there a total of 8 days, 7 nights).
The beds were the hardest beds I've ever slept in in my life. Like I said, I traveled with tons of friends, so we got to see a lot of the other rooms as well and almost every single room had rock hard beds.
The shower took forever to get hot.
The hotel staff was really rude and never helpful. They wouldn't even allow a pizza guy to deliver us a pizza.
The hotel was extremely hot because it was all open and the ac barely worked.
And another really bad thing about the hotel...The front entrance (just a big entrance, no door or wall or anything.) you had to climb a ton of really steep steps just to get into the lobby. Try going up and down that with 2 big suitcases. There was no ramp, no elevator. Struggling up these high steps was your only choice. Smart planning, huh?
They did however have an beautiful view of the beach (we were right on the beach) and they had a really neat pool. The jacuzzi on the top of the roof was also relaxing with a beautiful view of Cancun. These were about the only good things. The bad things about the beach, though, was that when a bunch of my friend went out to it, they got sandfleas and sealice and had rashes from the sealice. But that wasn't the hotels fault.
I think everyone had something to complain about there.
Oh yeah one other good thing about it was that it was a great location. Right on the beach like I said, and right in the middle of everything tons of restaurants and nightlife and shopping were in walking distance.
