Posada Real Los Cabos, San Jose del Cabo

Our room had a wonderful view of the beach, pool and pretty gardens. The facility was clean and quiet and the staff bent over backwards to make you feel welcome.Recommend snacks in the bar in the evening. We only stayed there one night on our way to a larger resort in Cabo, but wished we would have spent our whole trip there, it was so laid back. The lovely town is within walking distance with nice shops. Check out the Mega grocery store, but beware of time share salesmen. Huge and full of great things to look at. Located in a nice mall, with a beautiful ocean view. Also had a great meal just up the coast at a little place called Costazul. It hangs over side of the road and has the best "chocolate clams" a ceviche clam with super fresh salsa. The best meal we had on the entire trip-hands down. There are only six tables in this surfer hang out, and it it locally owned, worth checking out. Would return again.

Best Western Posada Real is a great deal for the price. One of the lowest priced all inclusive resorts you will find in Los Cabos. The food is good, and the rooms are clean. The resort was not too crowded and was very peaceful. This is not a time share location which is a huge plus. The food and drinks are tasty however, the cocktails served are extremely weak. I am not even sure that alcohol was in them, because I drank the entire time I was there and never felt anything. The food is good however after staying there and having it 7 days straight it got old and we ended up going out for meals. Be prepared for birds. The buffet is set up on a porch outside and is constantly covered in birds trying to find crumbs. The food is kept covered but anything left unattended for more than a minute is attacked by birds. Leave your table to get something from the buffet and you will return to find your table covered in birds. Overall the staff was friendly however the servers do prefer locals. If you are a non-Spanish speaking white American you will see Hispanics being severed more quickly and more often. Items like beach towels, irons w/ boards, and cold bottled water are available at the front desk at no extra charge. You can also exchange your dollars for pesos at the front desk. The pool is clean and heated. It has a swim up bar which is nice, and a public hot tub. There are tables set up around the pool for dining, and padded chairs with umbrellas around the pool and on the beach. The poolside taco bar is great, and the servers will bring food and drinks to you right on the beach. No need to get up. There will be vendors walking up and down the beach selling everything Mexican, from rugs, to kites, to jewelry. They are not allowed to step onto resort property unless you invite them. They will walk up to your chair if you like and make deals with you. If you don't want to talk to them give them a firm no and they will move on. You have a great view of the water and mountains, but cannot swim in the water. Our room was clean and the air conditioner was cold. The beds are extremely hard. Our room was marked as a smoking room, but you could not tell that anyone had ever smoked there. All smoking rooms have ocean views. Our room was on the 3rd floor furthest away from the water and we still had a good view. We had no problems using wireless internet. If you are looking for a luxury resort, or a romantic honeymoon location this is not it. If you are on a budget and looking for an inexpensive resort, this place is a good bang for your buck, and a great place to stay for a fun Mexican vacation!

This was a great place to relax. Although there wasn't much for entertainment close-by, we didn't mind. We were there for laying on the beach all day! The food was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not close to the "party" hotels, so it was nice and quiet.

Three of us went for a quick getaway and had no idea what to expect. We loved the location, privacy, staff, service, pool and general low-key feel of Posada Real. There was a great variety of food. The Taco Bar was our favorite. The only drawbacks were that the beach is not safe to swim in. But it is beautiful to walk on! Also, we had read that the beds were firm...and they are. But that didn't stop us from having a fabulous vacation. Ramon & the rest of the staff were great. Tell them the girls from Oregon sent you! We definitely plan on going back.

I liked the hotel because we were not secluded like our friends who stayed in between Los Cabos San Jose-San Lucas. I enjoyed talking with the people at the resort they were very helpful and informative with things to do locally. I was in good walking distance from San Jose and a easy bus ride to San Lucus. We had no problem with illness or cleanliness of the resort.

This was the best vacation I have ever had. The location was perfect, only about 15 minutes to downtown Cabo, the staff was wonderful and the weather was beautiful. Next time I go to Cabo, Mexico, I will make sure I stay there again.
