Dreams Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa is an all-inclusive resort located between the Sierra Madre Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean, approximately 15 miles from Puerto Vallarta International Airport, and five miles from downtown. Amenities include a private beach, One round of golf per day per person at Marina Vallarta or Vista Club (Green fee included-Golf cart mandatory and additional) three pools and Jacuzzis, full-service spa/beauty salon, daily activities program, supervised kids activities and fitness center. Dining options include Oceana, serving seafood specialties; Portofino, specializing in Italian Cuisine; World Cafe, with International offerings; Seaside Grill, serving grilled dishes on an outdoor terrace; and El Patio, a Mexican restaurant with three sections--La Cantina Jalisco Bar, Patio Oaxaca, and Salon Michoacan. The property has four bars including a lobby bar and swim-up pool bar. All-inclusive rate covers accommodations, meals and snacks, theme parties, entertainment venues, unlimited natural fruit juices and soft drinks, unlimited premium and domestic bar, live nightly entertainment, Explorer's Club for kids (ages 3-12), daily activities, tennis clinics, non-motorized water sports, and all taxes and gratuities. The resort also offers a business center, tour assistance, shopping, 24-hour room service, babysitting, Internet access, and laundry/dry cleaning service for an additional fee. Rooms feature marble floors, individual A/C, Internet access, clock radios, minibar, safe, satellite TV, hairdryers, irons/ironing boards, and bathrooms with showers, bathtubs, and slippers.

Excellent getaway...

The service in the hotel was very profetional, their food, OMG, thay had so much food it was hard to decide what to eat. The activities they had were very entertaining, everything was exactly what a vacation should be like.

Nothing special

(-)Lobster was not included as a part of the all inclusive package. Lunch choices were very limited and reminded us of cafeteria food. Spa prices were very, very high. Private beach did have vendors. (+) Location was awesome. All the locals thought it was one of the nicest hotels around. Staff was very friendly.

Going to seed

The rooms are awful! Peeling paint, Not a single hook or towel rack to hang anything in the bathroom, a cement headboard with sharp protrusions and an overall lack of cleanliness are some of the discomforts of the place. Having said that, I must add that the people are lovely, the service is excellent the food and drinks are very good for an all inclusive.

The best present ever . . .

Dreams Resort and Spa was fantastic. I took my husband for his 40th birthday he had a blast! The staff was very friendly and helpful with any request. The food and drinks are more than adequate. We got top shelf liquor just by asking – Juan was the best bartender. TIPPING is a good idea, but the service is excellent even if you didn’t. If you are the adventurous type, don’t take the city tour. Get a map from the concierge and take a taxi. The cab was very cheap (about 4 bucks) and driver told us the best places to go. We didn’t have any trouble getting towels or chairs by the pool and there was never a line to get into the restaurants. I too recommend the Oceanire or the Seaside grill. We also opted for the Romantic Dinner on the Beach. I HIGHLY recommend it! That lobster was as huge and the champagne never stopped flowing. The 24 hour room service was a big plus! The grounds and pool were beautiful and well kept. I would go back in a second!

We were not very impressed with Dreams

We just got back yesterday from Dreams. We will not go back. The hotel needs upgrade very badly. Our room was very old with many chips on the bathromm door and the bathroom was very small. No internet available in the room, you have to go downstair to a small tiny business room that has only 4 computers for the whole resort. It is more like a 3 star hotel than a 5 star as they claimed.

Cant wait to go back!

This place is the best there is great service restaraunts ammenities great fun for families or anyone. Rooms are great and when you go out at night you come back and the maid has turned your bed down, turned on your tv to soothing music, leaves a card saying all that is happening that night at the resort, flowers, and chocolate. So much to do so little time! You have to go!

wonderful honeymoon and overall experience

Everything about the Dreams was superb. Staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. We did have trouble with our safe once, but it was fixed quickly. Found the food and drinks to be fantastic. If you prefer top shelf liquor just be sure to request it in your drink- bartenders are more than happy to oblige. TIPPING is essential...and it will ensure that you have a wonderful experience too. The staff works incredibly hard, and in PV they do not make much at all in the way of wages- so they do depend on tips. The service is excellent- and is deserving of tips. Never had troubles getting chairs by the pool, or getting a seat at the restaurants. It is Fantastic not to have reservations, either. This was a BIG plus. The seafood was wonderful (especially at the Seaside grill) and LOVED the room service! Pools were beautiful and well kept. Grounds were amazing. This was a dream honeymoon for us. We would recommend the DREAMS to anyone, and we would go back in a heartbeat.

An Absolute Dream Vacation

We loved everything about this vacation. In fact we plan to return to PV and Dreams in a few months. The location is absolutely beautiful, the food is fantastic, and the staff is top-notch. Highly recommended!

Best Beach I've Been Too!

Their beach is AMAZING, and the food from Oceana and SeaSide Grill is delicious! The beach was clean with thick, luxurious sand and clear, beautiful water. The rooms all have balconies or full patio doors with railings and are all ocean view, so even when not on the beach, you can enjoy the most beautiful view in Puerto Vallarta! I would not recommend getting married here through their wedding coordinator, however. Our wedding, though very small and intimate, was quite the fiasco, to say the least. The wedding coordinator was very disorganized and the wedding ended up taking place in a hotel lobby with out most of the "included" items from our package ever occurring.

We loved the resort!

My husband and I visited Dreams in January. We vacation 3 times a year at all inclusive resorts. Dreams is on the top of our list. We love the location which is beautiful and different from other areas of Mexico. The service was great. Everyone very friendly. All rooms face the ocean and have a great view. The food was good. Room service was fast and good. We were lucky to see wild dolphins in front of the resort the first day we were on the beach. The next evening we saw the baby turtles released into the ocean. We highly recommend this resort. We will definitely go back.
