Blue Parrot Suites, Playa del Carmen

There was a fire in the hotel, which makes me uncomfortable about safety. Location is great, but there are plenty of options in Playa.

I've been returning to the Blue Parrot since 2000.It use to be a good price/value, not anymore. Beautiful setting, scuba with Dave at the Abyss excellent, fun/trendy bar. Get real Blue Parrot. Get back to the basics of a good product at good price. Then I'd love to return. Great location close to 5th Ave. and the beach. No need for a car, safe friendly part of town.

Don't let the hotel's reputation as the hottest party spot in town put you off: the rooms are all located far enough from the bar that you won't hear a thing. Most rooms have balconies with hammocks and ocean views, its just a few yards to the gorgeous white sand beach. Location is tops, by the beach and only a block from the main drag. Rooms are a nice size with modest utilities. Very clean. And yes, the bar was great!

The Blue Parrot is one of my favorite hotels in the world! There is a good variety of room type - I prefer the beachfront cabins. They have open windows facing the Caribbean and the powdery white sand invariably litters the floor at all times. Some have fridges and all have private hammocks and plenty of personal beach space. If you're tired of salty water, you just turn the corner and dive into their beautiful outdoor pool. I spent a week at this hotel 2 years ago and still think about it! Paradise!

This is the best place in the world everyopne should go there!!!! It has great food an exelent beach and its not to expensive!

I loved this place I had the best vacation by far! I have been all over the carribean and this is my favorite place! I cant wait to make it back to the blue parrot

We loved the Blue Parrot due to it's central location to town. It was also clearly the "it" spot to be in town. The bar is always full of folks at any time of day. The breakfast that comes with the room was perfect and served right on the beach. We went there with our 1 year old, but really it is more of an adult place due to the noise level. The location can't be beat for the price, we'd love to return.
