Cheap (?), but not worth it!

I came for a professional meeting lasting four days and was thoroughly disappointed. It looks nice enough from the outside, but once in the room I immediately smelled an odor from the bathroom that, at best, smelled like BO. With no air on in the room, it was downright nasty. The vent/fan in the bathroom ceiling tile was also falling down on one end, which really made it a turn-off. In the bedroom, a section of the window had been removed and was left propped up against the window ledge, which added to a feeling that the room was a mess. Lastly, the clock was plugged in, but blinking 12am and unable to be reset. There were two bedside lamps and one had its spotlight burned out. When the maintenance person finally showed up he said that they were out of the spotlights, so he went into another room down the hall and "borrowed" one for my room. The room had one wall outlet available and one other under the TV on the desk, which was completely inadequate for two people with two cell phones and a computer that needed plugged in at night. The bed was thankfully without bugs, but the bedspread was stained and extremely uninviting for that reason. The ice machine was one floor up on the 7th floor and pretty inconveniently located. Although some of the rooms advertised had refrigerators shown in the rooms, our room with two double beds did not, which without a room safe, as well, made it pretty useless, except as a place to sleep at night. Finally, front desk staff were not friendly and minimally helpful. The parking garage in the basement is available for a charge, but is extremely tight for larger vehicles. I would not return to this hotel againl
