Gouverneur Place Dupuis Hotel, Montreal

The hotel is not centrally located as advertised. The capet was quite dirty; looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years!! Trays of food were left in hallways from BREAKFAST throughout the afternoon. The staff is polite,but not very knowledgeable. I was quite disappointed when the taxi pulled up and couldn't wait to depart for Quebec where the hotel was much nicer. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is the worth hotel experience I have ever had. The electricity went out twice in our room, front desk refuse to give an extra pillow. Our room was directly above the ballroom and there were loud music playing till 3am on a Wednesday night. The hotel refused to switch us to another room. The staff was rude and didn’t want to speak English.

Great location, convenient to all the shopping and nightlife on Rue St Catherine. Hotel connects to a office building with a small food court which is very convenient for a quick meal or snack. Great Value, great service, friendly staff.

This hotel was the most amazing one I have ever stayed at. The service, the ambiance, the overall friendliness of all the staff, and our rooms were incredible. The view from my room was positively breathtaking. I would go back in a second.

coffee maker not really clean, mini bar is locked, carpet a little sticky - somewhat of a turnoff. Nonetheless, staff is extremely helpful and polite. Location cannot be beat..

Pool was great. Restaurant was exceptional, especially for breakfast. Business section was excellent value. You came away feeling good like you were not getting ripped off ... The place is a bit dated but it is celan, the views nice, the location fine .....

The best thing about this hotel is its location- close to everything is interesting to see and visit in Montreal. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is a little bit expensive, so i only used it for the buffet-breakfast.

In 2007, I was pleasantly surprised by the guest room which was situated on one of the top floors of the Gouverneur. After the five hour drive from Toronto to Montreal, I instantly felt at home in this immaculate suite. The furnishings were perhaps not as trendy as some of the boutique hotels in the city but the unforgettable view more than made up for the traditional décor. I’m still impressed with the incredible panoramic view of the city that included the Olympic stadium, the breathtaking Jacque Cartier Bridge and the St. Lawrence River. This was my first overnight stay in Montreal so it was a comfortable way to acquaint myself with this incredible city. The staff was professional and courteous. The entrees from the restaurant were flawless. As a result, I extended my stay at the hotel to a second night. I have already reserved rooms at the Gouverneur for this year's summer festivals.

I "scoured" the internet to find a great hotel for 2 adults and 3 kids. Checked multiple websites and reviews. It had to be fairly close to the Six Flags "La Ronde" Amusement Park (the purpose of our trip) but still be in the downtown and not too pricey. We found it! The rooms were attractive and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The kids loved the pool! There were several places to eat all around the neighbourhood. Metro right next door. Parking was very convenient (right under the hotel)and reasonable for downtown Montreal at $16.50 a day. All in all, a wonderful hotel in a great location. Took us about 10 minutes from La Ronde.

Our stay in Montreal was amazing thanks to our greatly located hotel. Gouverneur Place Dupuis simply offers the best price, the best rooms and all for a low low price. Being from New York, my friend and I expected that for a mere 115$US a night we would get merely a place to sleep so to speak. BOY WERE WE SUPRISED!! This place combines excellent service with its cheerful staff and incredible location (really close to everything, Old Montreal, Downtown shopping, Downtown restaurants,clubs,etc). In all Gouverneur Place Dupuis is truly top of its class and deserves FULL MARKS.
