Nice place
By ,
Very, very large rooms, and a quick elevator. The off-street, gated, 24-hour access parking was very nice as well. The air conditioning & fridge controls were a tad odd though, and they didn't leave enough towels on most days that I was here recently. Nice, central location to much of what a tourist would want to have access to in downtown Montreal. There was no pay-per-view on the TV. I'd go back here though. It's one of the nicest hotels that I've been to in Montreal.

Nice downtown location
By ,
This is a decent hotel/apartment. Its in a nice downtown location. The fixtures and furniture were a little bit dated but the place was well kept and clean. Our room had a separate bedroom and kitchen. I would recommend it to someone in Montreal for an extended stay or with kids.

Good thing it was cheap
By ,
When entering our room for the first time, using the key/card given, we walked in on another couple sitting in THEIR room. We were given another room, but the thought that someone else might enter OUR room never left my mind. When at the front desk later, I overheard someone being given a voucher for a cab and a ten dollar discount at another hotel, because his reserved room was not available, but his two buddies had a room across the hall from us. I think we got HIS room! He was less than pleased. The place is rundown. Maids don't wash coffee cups, or wine glasses. Coffee pot didn't work. Shower turns from HOT to COLD in a flash. Phoned front desk to order a cab for a specific time. Waited at the front for at least ten minutes for this cab. Asked desk when cab was arriving, only to be told the line was busy when they called, but did not try again. They tried that time, but did not tell me the line was busy again, so I waited at front door for another five minutes. Already late for appointment, I asked front desk about cab -- oh,line busy. Why wouldn't they tell me??? I stepped out and thumbed a cab in a minute. The front desk staff are disinterested in clientelle. Toilet broke down first day. Don't go there if you want class and service. Only use as a last resort. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for. And on top of it, the reservation was booked two months in advance and my VISA bill arrived with the full amount deducted before we even went to Montreal. So paid in full BEFORE arrival.

so-so
By ,
Just returned from Montreal where we stayed five nights at La Tour Centre-Ville. There was no one to help us with baggage upon arrival. Our suite was roomy but rundown and not very clean. Carpet needed a good vacuuming and cleaning. Housekeeping was sporadic. And oddly, not one taxi driver was familiar with the place. We always gave them a hotel card which they examined at length, and then upon arriving (with our help), acted surprised that the hotel existed. It was nice having a coffee shop downstairs for breakfast and lunch. Our stay was OK but I'd go elsewhere next time.

Good basic accomodations
By ,
Front desk and maintenance staff were excellent; very responsive and helpful. Rooms definitely need renovations, but are spacious and clean. Kitchen is a nice feature, and on site laundry facilities are convenient. Watch out for scalding water when taking a shower in the morning when other guests are getting up and flushing, as water temperature flucuates greatly. Close to Convention Center and Old Montreal with no frills. Walking distance to several shopping centers, tourist attractions, and museums.

Cheap and easy
By ,
I liked the fact that this was the cheapest place we could find that didn't involve sleeping under a bridge. Outside of the room having only 1 bed in it for 4 people, everything else was fine. It had a great view from the 11th floor, and the security guards at the door didn't give us a big hassle when we came waltzing drunk through the door at 4AM.

Great Location
By ,
The downtown location and the price were the primary draws. This hotel is about two blocks away from the underground city. In about fifteen minutes, you can be in Vieux Montreal. You can also be almost anywhere in the city by way of the Metro. They do offer parking for 15$ Canadian per day which is in an underground lot with small spaces. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and include a kitchenette. Since there's a grocery store about two blocks away from the hotel, you can grab something for breakfasts there, and eat in the room. For some reason, there was only one bedside table. The alarm clock was also plugged into an outlet connected to a lightswitch, which I thought was a little strange. Overall, I like this hotel. The price and location make it unbeatable.

Great value!
By ,
The kitchenette was great and there is an IGA right around the corner. Bars & shopping were all withing walking distance. The maids only clean the bathrooms. The cafe was terrible quality and too exspensive. Parking was full upon our arrival so we had to park 4 blocks away at $40 a day!
