Most unique Hotel

Me and my family stayed here a few years ago prob in 2004 when we were going all over the Toronto/Niagra area.
Having had some bad experiences with not so clean hotel rooms we make a point of inspecting the rooms on most of our vacations before we book.
The staff was very helpful and lent us a key to check out the room ourselves. We were not thrilled with the first room we saw, it was clean, but older furnishings, and the thing my daughter didnt like was a tiny bit of mold growing around the edge of the bathtub. We thanked the front desk and declined the room. The clerk asked us if she could ask why and we told her about the mold and dated furnishings she appologized and said they had a newer wing that was more updated and offered us a key to check out a room. There was a slight price difference about $20-30 more than the previous room we saw but we were satisfied and took two rooms for our family of 5.
The kids loved the pool. This hotel is very unique, the rooms are larger and more suited to a business traveler as there were couches, desks little extra things one might need for a longer stay. The pools were the best. There is a normal outdoor rectangular pool and then there is an indoor/outdoor pool. The indoor pool is surrounded by indoor tropical plants, then you can swim under the wall and that leads to a tiny pool outdoors. I'm not positive, but I think there may have been a gym/sauna area too.
There was something going on with the airlines and the pilots weren't logging in enough sleep time so they were being forced to ground the planes or something like that.We got to the airport ready to go back to NJ and were told we were not going anywhere that day, so we had no where to go so we called the hotel they sent a free shuttle bus to pick us up and though we had no reservations they took us immediately they even booked us into the rooms we previously stayed in. They were in the process of being cleaned so we went to the pool until they were done. This hotel was extravagant, one of the fanciest hotels we've ever stayed in. I didn't care for Toronto but I would go back just to stay at this unique hotel.
