The added value of Noah
By Paul, 8/25/10
Hotel was fine, but what really helped make the trip great was the advice from Noah when we checked in at night. We wanted to go somewhere for a drink and I'm a beer afficiando. Not sure what Noah's job is, but the reception desk was empty except for us and the check-in woman. Noha overheard my request to find some local microbrews and came over and marked on the map several places that brewed their own beer or sold those beers. During the weekend, we made it to a few of those places and I was in heaven. Thanks so much for adding value, Noah -- the hotel and my wife and I -- were better off for your service.

A $300/night scam - is it worth taking a chance?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/20/09
An otherwise lovely Halifax holiday was spoiled when I got home and learned that I had been charged a $300 deep cleaning fee because someone had been smoking in our room. Not my husband or me, but apparently the room smelled of smoke. If I had known I was going to pay nearly $500/night I would have stayed somewhere much nicer than the Prince George.

Old is better in Halifax
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/24/07
Have you noticed that a lot of the newer hotels partner with a chain restaurant for their main dining? I really don't like that. When I go to a hotel, I want to sit down in a lovely, comfortable restaurant, with staff employed by the hotel, and be served as a hotel guest. I don't want to go to the hotel restaurant only to find its an East Side Mario's or Niche. Both good restaurants in their own way, but just not what I'm looking for when I head out for brunch. I went to the hotel for brunch last weekend and remembered why I love the place. The best food I've had in awhile. I have been a customer of the Prince George Hotel for many years and really love the service they provide. The rooms are great, they have plenty of office suites, and the staff is good. A good value for your money.

Cozy atmosphere and Cheerful Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/17/07
I came in late at night and had the Front Desk agents with smiles greeting me in. The bed was comfortable with the nice white comforter. This made the room much more cozy. Location is very convenient too since I didn't have to go out of the hotel as there were underground passage ways.

AWESOME
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/05
The Prince George Hotel is elegant, sexy, and upscale. After reading the other reviews I didn't know what to expect but thought I would try the Prince George anyway...and I am glad I did. The staff is the best I've ever encountered. You must have dinner at the Prince George. Chef Bear just won "Chef of the Year." I would recommend staying at this hotel for location, comfort(never had a better sleep), and pampering.
