Ramada Winnipeg Hotel Viscount Gort, Winnipeg

we had a bad room the first nite but the manager upgraded us to better room next morning when i went down she is a credit to her professon i would stay again great service great ppl what more can u ask for great job everyone the hotel sure has changed since i was in it 20 yrs ago was my stomping grounds then

The hotel is very clean and safe. We have been staying at the Viscount Gort for over 15 years. Started staying at the Hotel while attending minor hockey tournaments in Winnpeg. My children really enjoyed their stays and now my wife and I stay with our grandchildren while visiting Winnipeg.The staff is always on the lookout for the children and are very friendly and courteous when dealing with them. The restaurants are good and if one desires it is not far to walk to The Red Lobster and The Olive Garden for a change. Shopping is in easy walking distance also ie: Polo Park. There is sheltered parking for those who desire it, and easy access into the lobby. We spent XMas at the hotel as Winnipeg is the central point for our family to meet. The XMas buffet was excellent and inexpensive, we must thank Rhonda from sales for squeezing us in at such short notice. The pool area is safe, clean, and well maintained. The children enjoy the pool, water slide while Papa and MeMere enjoy the hot tub "whirl pool" and saunna. This year the rooms have been totally redone with new beds, furniture, carpets, very nice. The only draw back was the internet service, they did have wireless in the rooms but was not able to access my e mail. I understand that this is being corrected. I did enjoy sitting in the lobby with my computer as it did give me a break, and gave me a chance to meet some fellow guests. We will continue staying at this Hotel in the future as I do not think another place will materlize with the same good services. Jim

i had no problems when i stayed there and they would take the time to help u with anything it is the best hotel i ever stayed in

We stayed at the Viscount on a whim. We will definately be back. The service was great, the room was not only clean but considerably large and the price was right. I have stayed in more expensive hotels who cannot even compare with the Viscount Gort.
