Not bad for $69

Room was clean, spacious, smelled fine. TV was small, but okay. To describe hotel in one phrase: faded elegance. It is in a slightly run-down part of town (there were street people sitting on front step smoking, for example). There were only 3 cars in the large parking lot on a Friday night, so made me wonder if ours would be safe (night passed without incident). Wifi didn't work in our room (outside of range) but did work just down the hallway. There were piles of construction materials at the top of the grand spiral staircase. Hopefully being used for renovations, but the overall impression was a hotel past its prime. The East Indian restaurant on the ground floor was closed. Hmm ... wonder why ... would have liked to try it out.
