Check in went well but quickly went downhill from there. We had reserved an upgraded one bedroom unit ($25 extra) with a hideaway and a cot($10 extra)as we had two 16 year old boys with us for a hockey game. Arrived at 8:30pm and went to our room. We opened the door to have to fight our way by the cot left inside the door. After passing by the cot we were in the main area with couch, tv, desk ect. Standing back looking at this area I could see there was no room for the cot. I went back to the front desk to see what they could do. I was not greeted at the desk as the clerk was outside for a cigarette. He could see me standing there for about 10min before someone from the back came out to talk to me. I explained I needed a room large enough to put the cot down. She said she would send someone up to take a look. Fifteen minutes later the same fellow who was outside smoking came up to look and agreed it would not fit, then shrugged and told me I would have to remove furniture from the room to get the cot open and then left. So without any help from staff we had to remove the chair, 2 coffee end tables, two lamps, a coffe table , and then pushed over the couch to one wall to open the cot and hideabed. All the furniture removed had to be put into the upgraded bedroom (that we paid extra for) now making it crowded Now there was no room to move around except for on the beds. The hockey gear had to be put out to dry in the hallway, bathroom and tub. As for the room the smoke detector was held in place on the ceiling with a wedge of toilet paper so it wouldn't dangle. There wasn't an available plug in the bedroom to plug in my resperator. We then went to bed and turned on the television and it would not work in the upgraded bedroom. I called down to the desk and a girl came up to take a look, she banged it a coulple times and it still would not work. OH! She dropped the remote behind the tv armour and left it there, problem solved. She said she would call the television service and let me know what they could do. Ten minutes later she called and said they were rebooting the system and would call back. You must have noticed by now it was getting late and the kids are now in bed and have a early 7am game. Anyways they couldn't get the television working so there answer to the problem was to move us to another room at 11 pm. Although the room was no better then the one we were in and guess what, she told us the tv was not working there as well. OH! and we had an entire hockey team there ,they didn't mention that all the amenitys were closed pool & hottub great when you have 14 boys plus parents to entertain. They could have mentioned this at the time the reservations were made. Don't stay in room 157.
