Bosmans Hotel, Vancouver

shower too weak for good shower , securty not good , front desk gave access to my safety box to a stranger who stole my cash .....there is no bar ....restaurant only open in mroning . Overall one of worst hotels I stayed in . Even back country China , philipinness are better run . location is good but just be very careful if stay here.

Bosmans wasn't too bad. The price was definitely right compared to everything else. Parking and WiFi were free. But you still get what you pay for. The cleaning ladies were very polite and efficient. The drawbacks are that the hotel felt a little on the dirty side. Not dirty in the real sense. But dirty in the sense of carpet stains in the hallways, ripped wall paper, grubbiness in the tiny cracks between surfaces, etc. The place looks and feels like it's been around a while. The only thing I really didn't like was the WiFi didn't work the first Friday night until the desk clerk reset the system on Saturday morning. And then it went down again on Sunday morning, presumably needing another reset. They do not have a company remotely maintaining the WiFi like most hotels do. No one ever answered or returned my messages when I dialed the 800 number provided for WiFi technical assistance. I made multiple calls. And to top it off, the night shift clerk at the front desk was snippy and could be very unpleasant if you complained about anything. On the other hand, the day shift clerk was a very polite guy who at least knew how to reset the WiFi. The night shift guy didn't have a clue. Due to the WiFi issue, I will not stay there again. But otherwise, it was just ok.

This hotel is centrally located and that is the only plus. The bath tub backed up with water during showers. The grout in the bathroom was moldy. Enough towels were not provided for three guests so I reported this to the front desk. I was told to come down to the front desk to pick up the towels! Furthermore, all night long there were noises coming from the room above us(pleasure or pain...I do not know). This hotel is in such a great location to have such poor service and cleanliness. It needs to be revamped. I stayed there for one night in June 2007 on my way to Alaska.

I really like your hotel rooms. I was searching the web one day with a shocking surprise, An acuintance of mine told me about the rooms. I have been there twice. Last time was the 4th of July. I noticed a picture in the display case in the lobby.

I beleive it is important people know that I have found some unexpected guests in my room when I was in the Bosman hotel last months. I woke up in the night discovering small animals walking in my bed. Unfortunately I have been bited throught my body and a I have developed a red and scratchy erithema. Talking with the concierge I have understood this was not the first time this had occurred. So check your room if you choose the Bosmann. I hope you can pubilsh this review in the interest of the travelers and I am ready to give you evidence (pictures) of my complaints. dr. Gianni Bisogno

This hotel is a total ripped off!!! Customer service is lousy ! They don't care about you , they just want your money.My family and I went on a one week trip to Vancouver and Victoria via Seattle .I have always booked lodging online but this is the only hotel I booked that charges more than what i was quoted for. So better read the hotel's fine print. I thought I was getting a good deal by paying $139.95 a night for a hotel in downtown with 2 queen size beds, good for 4 people but instead end up paying $159.95 excluding taxes for a small room with 2 double beds ( their queen bed is not really queen bed but just a full-size bed) , a non-working tv and an air conditioner that don't serve its purpose. Location of hotel is right in downtown Vancouver , walking distance to everything but even though you are tired from walking and exploring downtown,and Gastown, you won't think of going back to your hotel room because you will just be depressed . There are other hotels situated in downtown that cost the same or may charge a little bit more but its better exploring those hotels than staying here.
