Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel, Brookfield

I booked this venue a year in advance for my ceremony. Throughout my wedding planning I was in contact with an events coordinator there. Everything was set up. My guests were to check in at 1-the original check in time is 3 when my ceremony started. I tried getting a hold of her a week before the wedding just to double check everything and I couldn't get a hold of her. I tried for days in a row and finally called and asked to talk to her supervisor. Her supervisor told me she no longer works there and that someone else is on my case, however, they didn't find it necessary to call me and let me know while I was still trying to contact the other woman. THe lady who was now working on my case finally decided to call after I complained about it, only to inform me that everything that we had set up was not in place so I had to go over everything again. My guests would not be able to get in early. After thinking everything was finally okay I went to decorate only to find out they set the room up wrong, we had to redo it ourselves because their workers were gone and we would have no time in the morning. They then told us our decorations couldn't be used even though it was the event planner who gave me the idea to do them in the first place. Then on top of it the next morning I was supposed to get in a suite, and get ready for pictures before my wedding and what do you know they didn't have one for me. I couldn't get ready until 30 minutes before my wedding. ALl they had to say about the whole situation was "too bad". The workers at the front desk are rude, and the event staff is completely irresponsible.

Not sure which disaster to start with first and mind you these were all minor complications but this hotel did not live up to the quality that it speaks so highly of!!! There was no wireless internet access but that's not the worst thing in the world I can be wired for $9.95 but is that reasonable for 2007? Not to mention I had to crawl underneath the desk to unplug the crowded outlet to plug up my computer. I worked a lot less than I planned because I didn't want to sit at a desk all night. I occupied my time that I didn't work chasing a huge spider around the room. I woke up the following morning to find that the cable television didn't work. So great, semi nice plasma tv with no picture for about three hours. So off I went to a full day of meetings and driving clients and corporate visitors back and forth only to return to my hotel room to watch my favorite tv show and they didn't offer the station in the hotel. The manager did however comp my internet access and the a few of the staff memebers were couteous. A friend called my room and commented on how rude the operator was. The hotel is a little outdated and can use a face lift. I was less than pleased after spending $150 per night!

The main part of the hotel is great but the side hotel is not very good. the weight room is small but useful. The pool was nice and spacious inside and out. Great for freinds to travel.

Room was dirty, as was bathroom. The shower was disgusting, the toliet was nasty and the floor was grimy. Sheets on the bed had a horrible smell, and were dirty. Drinking glasses still had prints all over them (lip and finger) when we got there. Only good thing about hotel was the bar!! Not worth the money!!! Will NEVER stay here again!!
