My Kids Loved It!
By krazykats, 8/16/10
I have no complaints. We had a great stay here. The rooms were clean (not spotless) & we could not here anything outside our room. Great view of the harbor. Kids had a blast in the warm pool. My only complaint would be the supposedly full breakfast. That was not a full breakfast more like a continental. Very comfortable place. We will be going back.

Destination of choice in the future
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/6/09
We frequently visit Kenosha and this will be our hotel of choice for stays from now on. Stayed for twelve consecutive nights so I think I can make a fair assessment of the accommodations. The room was kept continuously clean and the bed was unusually comfortable. I can't say enough about the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Swimming pool and hot tub, breakfast hot and fresh each day. The hotel is well located for walks along the harbor, and it's close to museums, good restaurants and a great coffee shop.

Stay here only if they give you an awesome rate
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/20/09
This hotel is NOT what is advertised. It's little more than a trussed up Day's Inn. While I found the staff to be helpful and pleasant enough, the hotel itself is NOT a 3-diamond hotel: More like a 2-star. Here's what I found wrong: room was shabby, in-room movie didn't work, internet didn't work, room wasn't very clean (I would suggest maid staff is very very poorly trained), hot tub was luke warm and the pool is only 3-feet deep. The elevator situation is weird and slow: If you're unable to climb stairs, you're in for a big inconvenience because of the elevator. The hotel rates are 3-star (we paid $150 including taxes) but it's not worth much more than $69 in my opinion. The room we got had trash left over from previous guests, mismatched towels, and I had to request that they change the sheets. The beds, when unmade, show the mattress ticking because there are no bed skirts, and they are only regular doubles: The room felt cramped, too. No desk to work at: just a table that wasn't all the comfortable to do work at. All that negative being said, I found the staff to be pleasant and courteous and they tried to be helpful, but...definitely not worth $150.

TO PRICEY
By State, 7/8/09
This is a beautiful location for a hotel but I found it to be way to pricey. My husband and I asked for government rate which is advertised on the internet but they told us that they do not honor government rates which is posted on their site and is misleading. We stayed here for one night which was $163 a night which was expensive but we were in town to visit a friend and had no choice. I stayed on disneyworld properties for $150 a night which was way better than this and they had more to offer. I mean come on the economy is hurting right now but don't pass it on to the customers. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean even though we didn't have a remote for the tv but once we called the front desk they were more than happy to bring one up. My suggestion is if you drop tha rates I feel that more people will visit due to the economy they are trying to save money and stay close to home but with rates like this I feel it will hurt Best Westerns Hotel, you need to make this a little more attractive and affordable to attract visitors. Had the rooms been a little more affordable we could have stayed a few nights.

Horrible experience
By LINDY, 7/7/08
We stayed at this hotel when it was the Holiday Inn Express and the service and staff were excellent. Now,the staff is incompetent, our room was was ready for 2-1/2 hours. There were drugs being sold outside our room in broad daylight, we called Police who did nothing, the drug dealer turned out to be one of the hotel's employees who Police did not catch but we recognized him from handing people small packets on the street. Bad experience unless you like this kind of element on your vacation.

Problems
By Mary Ann, 7/9/07
Rooms are shabby, the tv made a funny noise, the ac is too loud, couldn't change the minutes on alarm clock, rude housekeeping staff (weekends), pool over-chlorinated and only 3 ft. deep, impossible parking due to people fishing in the harbor, employee in charge of continental breakfast very terse. The hotel is run down and the rooms are very small. Unfortunately, they are the only hotel in the harbor area which is a great location.

Best bet when staying in Kenosha
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/06
The Best Western Harborside hotel has a prime location in Kenosha. The views of the harbor are beautiful. It's centrally located, close to the beach and resturants. The entire staff is courteous and friendly. The hotel, pool and grounds are very clean. Their continental breakfast is quite good also. My family and I will definitely stay there next time we go to Kenosha, we hightly recommend it to anyone.
