Great for dogs, but not babies.

We are frequent visitors to Charleston, WV and are Priority Club members for the Holiday Inn chain. Of the two Holiday Inn hotels in the city, this is by far the better one! It has been remodeled within the last five years and the eating area is nice and clean, and stocked with cold supplies (cereal, bread, juice, fruit)although it could have used some sausage, bacon, pancakes - anything warm would have been nice. They take dogs here, which is a huge bonus! They even have a nice doggie do area in the back. Additionally, we could walk to the mall from the hotel - it is only a block or two away. The only real complaint we had was that we had reserved a crib in advance and asked that it be set up in the room when we got there, as it was late at night. We even called when we were two hours out and we were told that this would not be a problem. When we got there, the crib was nowhere in sight. In fact, we were told that they keep the cribs disassembled and could not put one together for us until we actually checked in! Because it is such a nice, clean hotel, we just reserved a room with them again, and "Joy" told us that they only have one crib for the entire hotel and that it could not be reserved, but was available on a first come, first serve basis for whoever gets there first - this is not the story we got last time. To their credit, we were reimbursed $20.00 on our bill for having to wait for the crib last time. Aside from the inconsistency on this point, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who has a dog or who does not have an infant/toddler who needs a guaranteed place to sleep safely.
