Wait Staff not a morning person
By Cookie, 8/22/10
The room was good, and the food. The girl in the restaurant was not sociable moody blues and I guess not a morning person.. The food made up for her moodiness. Hope she has a smile when I go back there again. At least that didn't have any bed bugs.

Great weekend
By BeverlyW, 8/10/10
Everyone was helpful and friendly. The rooms are large and well appointed. Beds were comfy. The wireless internet was a little hit and miss and the last day of our 3 night stay I noticed the pool had a lot of debris in it but we would certainly stay here again.

Hard to sleep!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/30/07
If you are staying here, make sure you get a room facing the pool and NOT the train tracks!! It's very noisy all night! Pool had dead bugs floating in it .. not cleaned very well sides were a little scummy... Apples on the lobby check in are re-used from room service if you dont eat them .. Saw the room service guy bring back dirty plates from a room and put the un-used apple back in the basket on the counter .. The restuarant inside though is excellent!!! And oh yeah the so called free-internet access isn't all is cracked up to be .. poor service.

Don't stay here if you enjoy sleep!!!
By Sean, 9/17/06
This hotel is approximately 100 feet away from a railroad track, and the the trains run through at 60+ MPH ALL NIGHT LONG!!! I don't think it would be harder to sleep if the hotel was the same distance away from an airport runway. I spent two nights here and don't think I had over an hour of unbroken sleep the entire weekend. I have never heard trains as loud as these ones, and right next to the entire back side of the hotel... I would ONLY recommend staying here if you can get a room in the front. Other notes: Water came out rusty the first time we turned it on in the bath, the room door would not shut on its own, the elevator is ancient and slow (much faster to take the stairs), and the room itself was quite small. On the bright side, the restaurant/bar in the hotel is halfway decent. Those amenities are not enough to bring me back!!!

Attitude of management was a downer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/24/06
We like the convenient location. The rooms are quite adequate and generally clean. We found the service a little less accommodating than the ideal. The rooms that face the railroad tracks can be quite noisy during the night. The management was rather surly when we requested a room away from railroad noise because we had paid for our room through an online discount service (Priceline). We were made to feel we were inferior because we tried to save money this way. It was insulting and demeaning.

What a Disappointment!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/8/04
We book 15 rooms two months in advance, when we arrived, more then half the roms were in need of repair or maintance, some of our group, had to change rooms due to the overbaring roar of the freight train, that ran randomly during the day or night, the pool was never cleaned and the jacuzzi was just above warm,( perfect if your a bacteria) the night staff seemed to not have time or concern for our room concerns, however the beds were comfortable, but if I spend 79 dollars plus tax, that's the least I expect, from the front The motel looks, as its namesake would have it, the lobby fit's its community, but the broken legs of the piano hidden underneath the main stair case, only began to tell the story, the moss or vinery they tore down has left it's history along many of the exterior walls, making them appear to have black dust entangled cobb web,s along the cracked fake pablo white walls, some of the rooms that cost 79 dollars had only showers, our room had a king size bed, a small desk w/small chair and a small padded arm chair in the corner, cheap looking night lamps, and because the room was so large the lack of furniture made this feel like a small road side motel in the middle of nowhere tring to look like a 4 star inn, the wall paper was peeling alond the baseboards, the bathroom faucet, made a loud hiss when you turn the water on or off, the ring around the tub was permament, but the caulking wasn't the mold looked like it could have been, and around the light housing over the tub, the ceiling was peeling and some of the putty or whatever it was would start to fall on you if you took a long shower.
Our group made routine trips to the desk to have our key cards reprogramed,at the worst times you would get locked out of your room. two months before we arrived, we asked for a late check out due to our event there, we were told 3 pm, on that day we were told 1 oclock was the latest, and it didn't matter what we had been told, Wenatchee, was fun and the weather was great, but we could have stayed at the little cheap motel down the street for 40 bucks a night and got better and nicer stay, No I nor our group will ever try to stay, at the Wenatchee (dead)red Lion again, and we will really check out,any other Lions as well
