Great Place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/10
The hotel looks great and has a modern look after the recent renovations. Service was Great. The Manager cares about the guest and the service they receive. They even cleaned the snow off my car for me.

Will never return
By Deb, 08/16/09
The maids take over the "Business Center" computers when they are on break and the rooms were grubby; dirty windows, stained floors and tubs without stoppers.

service...
By koko, 06/13/08
employee's attitude is not very nice. I happened to checked in early in the morning(3AM) after long day. Airline lost our suitcases... Front desk didn't even say "hi", and just threw us some key cards. Security was taking a nap on the chair in the lobby. I just could not believe it. I have stayed in few holiday inns, but it was first time to experience such a service. I thought it was just bad day... but it was pretty much same kind of service whole time we stayed there. Day time worker were little better though.

Front Desk leaves a bad impression
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/07
Front Desk clerk was aloof, snobby, and unprofessional....basically a punk that somehow got a job. Obviously no management oversight of the front desk, at least this one individual. Room was OK...and pretty clean, although on the 6th floor with no A/C in the elevator, and the passageways reeked of old smoke. Carpets need replacing in common areas, they had been replaced in the room. We went in the bar/restaurant....now that place literally smelled...not only of smoke...it just smelled old. It was also dirty. We decided to have a drink and not eat. Lots of nice places in Charlottesville, don't eat there.

A lot of amenities and huge rooms
By Kent, 04/06/07
I'm not sure if I got a special room but I have a single that is HUGE with refrigerator/freezer. The front desk people are exceptionally nice and it seems pretty centrally located. For me it is usually about how I'm treated. Very happy. Big office desk and wireless internet, with game consoles as well.

Bad Service!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/06
The lady at the front desk assured me of services that were not offered, upon confirming with her hotel I found out that the amenities she told me they provided were completely false!! The manager than informed that since I didn't have her name--tough luck! She then proceeded to belittle me and inform me me of how smart she is since she has been in the hotel business for 20 yrs! Terrible --just plain TERRIBLE!

Stay here!!!
By Chris, 03/24/06
We've stayed here 4 times and have always had an exellent experience. The only 'minuses' are that their pool area is kinda dark and there's only one washer/dryer. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay!!!

Conveniently located

Clean & neat, nice pool and restaurant. Courteous & helpful staff. Located within minutes of all that Chartlottesville has to offer. A very good value.

Nice Inexpensive Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/05
the hotel was clean, the rooms were clean and the rooms are VERY affordable. This is by no means a luxury hotel, but if you want a clean and inexpensive place to lay your head. I suggest the Holiday Inn.

Decent Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/05
The hotel was nice and comfortable. We got one of the corner rooms, which was huge. Our son could freely move around. One of the minor blemishes we had were that the room's plumbing were exposed. The hotel should correct that issue.
