Quality Inn Lord Paget, Williamsburg

Have been staying here for years, new owners a few years back. Every year it goes more and more downhill. Will not stay again. Dirty, breakfast room a joke, yes it is a good deal, but would like hot showers and clean rooms. I can't believe how it has changed for the worse in a few short years and can stay a choice hotel.

My daughter and I had stayed at this hotel several times a year for years and years. The last few times it was a mess...spiders, cobb webbs with dead spiders, same old breakfast food, stains on carpets, dampness in room. We will never go back..under new management.Really sad to see this happen to an old outstanding hotel. N,C. resident

My family like many others has stayed at the LP every year for several years. We looked forward to being there as much as the attractions that Williamsburg has to offer, but the last 2 yrs, since new ownership, we have been more and more disappointed each time. The negative reviews are true, exposed electrical outlets, rooms not cleaned at 5 in the evening, pool area very dark because no one will replace lightbulbs, bricks falling down, brown dead leaves all over pool area in the middle of July. Outdoor tables filthy and moldy..I cleaned them myself because I was tired of looking at it. How difficult or strenuous is it to do simple maintenance and cleaning? No umbrellas on tables, not to mention the swampy condition of what was once a lovely pond. Now bottles and trash float in it. There was a condom on top of the picnic table at the pond area. I will miss all that the Lord Paget once offered but don't see our family staying there again. So sad to lose that family tradition, unless better owners would happen to acquire this property.

As much of the Hotels in Williamsburg only lazy non english speaking indians running the property. This was once a beautiful property but then a sorry indian family bought it and ran it straight to hell. The rooms are very nasty, dirty sheets on beds, stained towels. Only immigrants working here whos english is worse than the economy! I wonder how much they pay the inspectors to pass this dump when its inspected because there is no way that it will pass without the owners having an inspector in their wallet!

My husband and I have been staying at the Lord Paget for about 15-20 years, but this is the last time for us. We stayed here because it was convenient to downtown and the restaurants. There are new owners here. When we checked in on Tuesday at around 3 p.m. they were still cleaning rooms. Upon opening the door to the room you get a musty smell. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The floor and sink were dirty, I cleaned that up. Clean towels were thrown on the racks in the bathroom. Shower curtain had mildew all on it. The bed was hard as a rock, pillows too soft. I almost burnt myself when I was taking a shower. The water temperature seemed to be fine but halfway through my shower it got so hot I almost got burnt. The second day there we went out for most of the day and when we came back at about 5 p.m. they didn't even clean our sink, it was still dirty. Also, if you use an electric shaver or hair dryer be prepared because you can't use it in the bathroom. There are no electrical outlets. You have to bring an extension cord with you or the motel will provide you with one. What kind of a motel is this? The second day we were there we noticed there weren't many people staying here, we could see why. The previous owners need to come back. It was always busy here and it used to be a nice motel. Not any more. Think twice about coming to this "Quality Inn".

My family and I have stayed at the Lord Paget for many years, this was our first trip back since the new owners have taken over it will also be our last trip back to the Lord Paget. This motel is very dirty. The owners english is very poor did nothing about our complaints but suggest we stay at another hotel next trip and then had the nerve to charge my credit card double. The housekeepers can not speak english and do not know how to clean. I wish someone would step up and take this property and put in the hands of someone that woulkd be proud to have it. Open wires behind the microwave in the coffee house, electrical room full of water right next to the guest laundry, towels and sheets dirty and stained.

Have stayed in this motel for over 20 years. The new owners have done everything wrong! We would never go back. We are not upscale visitors as one of the reviewers suggested, but know when there is no Quality at the Lord Paget

I will start with check in. We were traveling with a large group and our rooms were not ready due to remodeling. When we finally checked into our rooms at around 10:30 p.m. they were dirty and we had bugs crawling on the celiing and in the beds. The beds were hard as a rock and the pool was not even open due to maintenance which they did not mention when reservations were made. I would not reccomend this place to others regardless of what the other reviews may say.

Just an amazing motel. So much to see just on the property from ducks, fish, and turtle in the private pond to just sitting outside and relaxing in this quiet private area. Never been to a Quality Inn like this one. Will be back.

The minor inconveniences of this old motel with very small cramped rooms could be easily overlooked if the staff fine tuned its attitude. There's nothing that makes me and my family more uncomfortable than overhearing constant employee complaints about guests of the motel. Coffee available in coffee house all day WITHOUT creme.
