Ocean Holiday Hotel, Virginia Beach

I like this hotel because it is the cheapest place that we found and It was located in a great place. The Rooms could have been a little cleaner and I really needed a blow dryer and they do not have that in there rooms, but for the price and the location I would stay there again......just bring my own hair dryer the next time!! I totally recommend it!

This was my family's first visit to Virginia Beach. The Ocean Holiday made this first visit one to remember. The staff was very friendly. They even let us check in three hours early. This was a big plus considering we drove over 8 hours through the night to get there, and we had a sixteen month old baby with us. The location was great because we could walk almost anywhere we wanted to go. This hotel was very clean. The only complaint we had was that the indoor pool was quite cold. We will definatly stay at this hotel again. The prices at the Ocean Holiday are very reasonable.

Everything about the Hotel was very nice, and clean,and that's important.The staff was very nice and helpful.We are looking farward to coming back for a visit in June. Thank you James

MY HUSBAND & I HAVE STAYED AT OCEAN HOLIDAY SEVERAL TIMES.WE CAME UPON AFTER WE LEFT ANOTHER HOTEL IN THE AREA BECAUSE WE WERE NOT SATISFIED WITH THIER ACCOMODATIONS . EACH VISIT HAS BEEN GREAT !!!! THANKS, THE FOSTER'S

I wrote the review titled "Locked out on Balcony" I sent the manager a letter the following week.......I have yet to hear from anyone in management about the issues I raised....ah yes, Customer service at its finest! If you have reservations for this hotel, run, do not walk to another hotel as fast as you can!

This place is underrated. It was clean, affordable, people friendly (excellent staff), mint & modern rooms, great parking, etc. I can go on and on! We will never stay anywhere else in VA Beach. It was yahoo reviews that assisted us with our decision to stay at Ocean Holiday and I am glad to have the opportunity to had yet another great review! Keep up the good work Ocean Holiday & Yahoo!

The place was filthy dirty. The linens onthe bed were questionable at best. I had to demand a clean blanket as the one that they attempted to put on the bed was stained and was so dirty it was stiff! The most outrageous thing that happened was I was sitting on the balcony when the maid came in.She opened the door to the balcony, told me she was going to make up the room, closed the door and locked it. I didn't realize this until 20 minutes later I attempted to go in and it was locked! SHe treated the whole thing as though nothing happened. I can only assume it was deliberate as she had spoken to me one second before she closed the door. Suffice it to say I will NEVER go back and will NEVER recommend the OCean Holiday to anyone. If they tellthat is where they are staying, I will advise them to stay at anther hotel or stay home. This was our 3rd stay at Virgina Beach and our most disappointing!

There is very little parking in front of the hotel and the other parking lot is behind a building, across the street in a dark parking lot. The service was o.k but not that friendly and helpful. The rooms were o.k. until you started to look at them carefully. The beds were too soft or too hard depending on the rooms. We were supposed to have an alam clock and hair dryer but we did not. Then the shower there was a dirty used washcloth hanging from the shower head. Also in the shower there was hair that did not belong to us. The air conditioner was so loud that you had to turn it off just to sleep or enjoy the ocean.

The hotel was not very clean. Found a dirty used wash cloth hanging from shower head. The carpet was dirty. The room did not have a alarm clock or hair dryer. The location of the hotel was good, but they do not have enough parking space in front of the hotel and you have to park across the street behind another building which is seculded.

View is great and staff helpful and friendly. Room was quiet and TV worked well. But, room was not too clean. Maybe it is just the worn out bath fixtures cannot be cleaned. Horrible smoke smell but smoke seemed to be vented in somehow. No luggage racks, wall pictures, clock/radio, hair dryer. I tried to turn on the wall lamps, they dangerously tipped to the sides, a mysterious contraption had fallen on its wires and hung suspended from ceiling--we prayed it wasn't the smoke alarm. Totally weird toilet and we wondered whether each flush would be its last. Not an expeience we will repeat. Surprised this has a AAA rating. 105 rooms and parking and 40 parking spaces.
