Horriable!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/11/10
This place was disgusting. We went to the room which was in the very back. The first thing we seen was these little tiny twin size beds. It smelled awful, black rings in tub, but the worst was when we looked behind the bathroon and found a family of cockroaches. Went immediatly and got my money back. We went about 10 miles down the road and found a very nice clean place for 10 dollars more. Whatever you do DON'T stay here.

For what you pay for it's great
By Douglas Casey, 10/27/09
Good service. Cheap rooms. The room was nice. I was on a business trip to Richmond and for the price I really couldn't have asked for more. They could put an iron into every room but when I called down they did have them available and brought one to me.

Do NOT stay here!!
By KHuffman, 9/28/09
A group of us (8 women) had reservations here for a women's conference at the Civic Center. When we got to our rooms after the conference, we were horrified at the condition of our rooms. Unbelievable doesn't even begin to say... 5 of us ended up leaving...and after we left the other women encountered pimps and prostitutes loitering in the stairwells. This place is not safe, clean or enjoyable in any manner. The pictures are completely false. We were told later that there have been murders at this particular motel and that we were smart to leave. I would not recommend this for anyone who is concerned about cleanliness or safety.

The most disgusting pit in the world.
By James, 10/28/08
When we approached the place, there was a guy curled up sleeping on a coach in the lobby (8:30 pm). The place is so run down. We did not stay the night. The floors sag in the walkways. Our door only opened half way because the carpet was rotted in a ball behind it. The beds were filthy, it looked like the previous occupants had sex and left the tracks behind. The pillows had black slime on them. Towels and washclothes thrown in a pile. Not sure if laundered or not. The restaurant next door is abandoned. I contacted headquarters and they said that the hotels are franchises. Each is responsible for themselves. No help there! A night here is like a horror movie. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! I will report this place to the health department. It doesn't even deserve a one for any rating but I had to do that so it would complete the review.

Bed Bugs
By Matt Hartley, 7/2/08
This hotel is unsanitary. Aside from the smell of mold and urine, I awoke in the middle of the night only to squish a bed bug that proceeded to spill blood all over the already dirty sheets. My friend in the bed next to mine woke up in the morning with blood specks on his sheets from where the bed bugs had gnawed on him. Even worse, they crawled into my luggage and began infesting my room at home once I got back. I just paid several hundred dollars for an exterminator. Do yourself a favor and splurge for a better hotel.

Filthy
By tana, 2/13/08
This motel was the worst place I have ever stayed. Filthy, filty, filthy. I actually took pictures and wish I could upload them here. I plan to send them to their corporate office. There was no coffeemaker in the room. I called to request one. After several calls I went to the office where I was told they couldn't give me one. One would have to be brought to me. It took over 3 hours to finally get one and it didn't work. Corporate should know, while standing in their office, I heard them several times turn away people saying the only rooms available were the $125.00 jacazzi rooms. This is a large, 3 story hotel that had , maybe a few dozen cars parked around the building. And it didn't increase much in the late evening. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

Can we say NASTY
By CressidaD, 6/24/07
This is the nastiest hotels I have ever stayed at. There was a gap under the door, I was scared all night something was going to get in the room. The corridor was so nasty and unclean and smelled like urine. The sheets hadn't been changed. The pillows are so nasty and look like they should have been changed a couple of years ago. There's holes in the blankets. There was still coffee in the coffee pot. The toilet was nasty. I wanted to leave as soon as I got there but my kids were so tired and we didn't know the area so we just wanted to stay put. I asked the front desk man for cleaning supplies and he said they didn't have any so I did the best I could cleaning everything. Unless your car breaks down and you're stranded I would not recommend staying there. We paid $60 bucks for the night and I felt like we paid $50 bucks to much. It was an awful experience.

Would not recommend.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/9/07
My family stayed one night but that was enough. Room appeared clean but had bad odor and bathroom smelled of urine. Our room had Cable TV but all channels were "fuzzy". Not very well maintained. We were within walking distance to the Roanoke Civic Center but that seems to be the only plus.
