The staff here is very nice! They told us about their promotions and deals we could get if we were to book two rooms. Over all its a bargin for a nice getaway!

Yep...you aint kiddin,
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/11
I read some of the reviews about this motel and let me tell you, its not worth it ! I too feel the good reviews mentioned about this motel must be from the owners themselves. Or simply the guests got the wrong motel. The one on Route 7 Rutland is a haven for homeless people and drug activity. 4:00 in the morning we heard yelling and screaming along with cursing at the end of hall. 4:20 in the morning the police were there to calm calm whatever was going on. We checked out that morning!

Are we all talking about the same motel?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/30/11
The Rutland Ramada on route 7? This motel is a haven for drug activity and the homeless. They've been known for this for some time now. They are affiliated with the economy inn across the street which is even worse! Don't take my word for it..look at the local newspapers or better yet, talk to any Rutland police officer. This motel is getting worn out. It has a poor reputation amongst the locals in Rutland as does that Economy Inn acrossed the street.

Watch out for fires!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/10
The first room they gave us - 106, the TV did not work so we were moved to 104. We found the bathroom door had a huge burned area where it had been left under the heat light in the bathroom and the ceiling around the light showed a brown area and water stains. Also the smoke detector had been disabled with the battery being removed. I have notified the City of Rutland and the Ramada and our complaints are being investigated. Not a safe hotel. Also, the wallpaper was torn in 106 and the paint was peeling in the bathroom in 104. What a mess!!!!!!!

Ramada Rutland BedBugs
By Johnny, 5/3/10
I stayed at Ramada in Rutland this month. I was badly bitten by bedbugs mostly on my left hand which is the hand that is usually under the pillow. I went to Rutland Hospital Emergency Room twice for treatment of the bites. Bedbug bites are horribly itchy and stay for weeks. Since I didnt have a lot of funds for a new place, I was moved to a different room. I absolutely would not sleep on their beds again so for the remainder of my time there, I used my inflatable mattress that I had stashed in the car. I have now checked out of Ramada, but 2 days before i did, another guest in another room was bitten worse than I was. I think the problem is largely that this Ramada takes in homeless people and others sent by the State Welfare Department. I am sure that some of the transients bring in these bugs with them. I would skip staying at Ramada Rutland unless you would like experiencing bedbugs.

STAY AWAY!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/08
Before making reservations here, I checked these reviews and after seeing how positive they were, thought, "what the heck?" We could not get to sleep the first night as the people above us sounded like they were going to fall through the floor. It wasn't so much that they were purposefully loud as much as it seemed the creaky floor was made of plywood and about to break through. Then, the door to our room, the door to the adjoining room and the "one-way" burglar-proof door to the parking lot all looked like someone had tried to break them open w/ a crowbar. The room itself was pretty beat up and in the bathroom, the trim molding over the mirror had come undone at the ends. Looked like someone tried to hold it back with surgical or gauze tape. We woke up the first morning to the "heavy footed" people upstairs and a room full of cigarette smoke from a guest standing outside next to our heating unit - smoking. Oh yeah, then there was the continental breakfast where the attendant was picking his ear and his nose and scratching himself.....and then handling the coffee pot and god only knows what else. Unlike any other continental breakfast I've ever seen, they have a ticket system where upon check in you get a ticket for breakfast and have to surrender it to the ear/nose guy. I can only guess that they have breakfast crashers showing up in the morning. Oh yeah, we inquired about the "heated" pool, only to find out the heater hadn't been working. Needless to say, we checked out early and decided to stay elsewhere. I don't believe one single of these positive reviews and suspect they were written by hotel employees. The funniest part was some woman from Maine telling everyone how wonderful the place was, that they stay there every time in Rutland and once even had their wedding guests stay there!!!! You have got to be kidding me!!!!! BEWARE OF THE RUTLAND RAMADA!!!!!!

Great hospitality and Family enviroment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/7/07
Ramada Limited becomes our home when we visit the Rutland fair. and we have always enjoyed the service, the clean rooms, the location to the fair and rutland. We have always been treated well, and the staff treats us like they enjoy having us stay. the breakfast room makes it easy with the kids to have breakfast which is a wonderful real breakfast not just donuts and coffee. but a nutritious breakfast our family loves this hotel and reccomends it to anyone who visits Rutland. Home away from home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/29/07
Loved the entire experience - The staff were like family to us. We were enroute to the Bangor area and wanted to experience as much of "Downeast" as possible in one week. This involved a LOT of driving (with our two dogs). We just couldn't wait to return to VT and to our "second home away from home" at the Ramada Limited in Rutland. The staff were absoutely the most awesome we've come across (and we travel a lot). Location was great too. This establishment will definitely be part of our next itinerary as it will to any of our friends and/or associates traveling up that way. We hated leaving, really did. Talk about southern hospitality - you haven't experienced "hospitality" until you have visited Vermont - and I might add you get a daily dose of it while staying at the Ramada Limited. Beds were comfortable- Room was large, nice and cool, and sooooooooooo convenient for loading and unloading the car. Nice location to walk the dogs too. Just an overall enjoyable stay. Loved it. Somewhat dissappointing
We requested a non smoking room and were given a room that wreaked of smoke and told someone must have smoked there last night. Clearly, they were out of non smoking rooms and put us in the only room available, which was a smoking room. The hotel was a bit ramshakle. Gentleman at front desk tried to be friendly and help us, but we still felt the place was a little run down, and we will not stay there again.
